@desertnerd i seen a interview from the guitar center sessions were they talked about this album and for some reason this album was a failure and rivers said he blamed himself cause he wrote songs about how he felt and put a lot into them for negative criticism. i say that he is afraid screwing up so he trys to write songs people want to hear instead of songs that are great and have meaning

but that lines probably more of an allusion to the play madame butterfly (there's a pretty good synopsis of the play on youtube btw) but weezer is pretty much dead to me anyways :D

Pinkerton can't be described in word - its timeless - and when I got this record I had a beautiful time... I had no problems, went to school and I had holidays ;-) This song is one of my favourites of the album... I always dream of the good times at the second verse : "All of the drugs she does Scare me real good She's got a tattoo and two pet snakes Nobody knows me like her nobody knows her like me we're all we've got and we don't want to be alone" so unbelievabal - thx rivers ;-)

Weezer is Genius and all of there album are solide gold especially pinkerton the green and bleu albums all have alot of heart. el scorcho is my all time favortite but some days i like some songs more than other depending on how i feel.

I disagree with Micbill, I think the Good Life and Pink Triangle are great singles, infact probably Weezer's best...Cuomo's peak in writing. But I do agree the entire album is gold.
