  • french fries comes from frenched fries and frenched is the way the potatos are cut into fries. :) I'm from belgium

  • i lisend to you last vid and got some chocchoc

  • playing Civ 5, watching Civ 5 videos. Love it XD

  • if you were going for a cultural victory you should've played as the french. They get a cultural bonus each turn until the discovery of steam power.

  • I just realized that you should have built Babylon next to that river because Akkad is also on that river and they would have connected

  • That archer be jelly

  • TIP TO PRO PLAYERS WHO WANT PRO CITIES keep cities exactly 8 spaces away (this makes cities the best

  • @ness123456798 screw you. youve obviously never actually played the game.

  • @nzk13 lol you never played the game (my steam caloo)

  • @nzk13 and i make super cities :3

  • Just to be clear for anyone who is new to the game, when Quill was looking at building a farm with his worker next to his Capital, the capital showed zero growth (stagnation) because he was building a Settler. Building a settler will always pause a city's growth which it is in production, and resume once it has completed.

  • I was playing this one game on a huge map where I had almost twenty cities that wanted spices and when I finally got a city that had some literally half of my empire celebrated "we love the king day"

  • I've been really enjoying your commentary on your playthrough. I haven't played any of the previous civ games, but tried the demo for this one and got hooked. I can't afford to get it right now, but plan to eventually. Your explainaions are great and I've learned more from the few videos of yours that I've watched than all the others combined. Keep up the great job!

  • this game looks epic, but my computer can't play it, DARN YOU DELL

  • maby when you discover writing your scolars can write a book about the great sieg of the barbariean incampment

  • you're awesome. I've got this game... played it for like 4mins and quit after not knowing shit and looking at the help section lol. It looks soo huge that I just didn't feel like learning the stuff, but your vids showed me the basics and now i love this game.

  • thank you very much, I am buying the game. I just can't decide if i should download it for 60 bucks, or ebay it for 21.

  • @captainblackskul download you cant have civ 5 on two steam accounts on the same code so if u find an ebay with (unopened) then buy it

  • @captainblackskul download it for 60 bucks? last time i checked, it was 50. at least, in us dollars. maybe youre talking about canadian or australian dollars, in which case, sorry.

  • Jealous much

  • I am not that good at the rts, mostly because of base building + micromanaging. But I am an expert at blitzkreig. In Rise of nations, my base rts, I commonly win in minutes, almost always below 10. I know I can't do it in this, but how complex is base building, thta will be the key part in my choice to buy this game.

  • @captainblackskul

This game is turn based, so you cant really treat it like you would an rts. It is possible to 'rush' in the sense that you can try to end the game on small maps quickly. However, the more rival civilisations, and the larger the size, the more difficult this becomes.

  • Great videos! I love Civ V, have not touched Civ IV since I got V and have been playing a lot. Its even fun watching someone else play.

  • Dude...sometimes you sound like Wallace Shawn as the evil genius in The Princess Bride.

"I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line"! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

  • I think chopping down trees on luxury resources add +1 to money or food. IDK about production.

  • I can see this is your first game...so painful to watch your little mistakes. But it's fun.

  • Do you ever find it weird talking to yourself?

  • Hey have you been able to play on multiplayer? Whenever I try to connect i'm just sitting there for hours waiting until I just click escape.. :s

  • @TheHuntards I think one of the producers reccomended to not try multiplayer unless you had 6 hours to spare XD

  • WORK THE EDGES!

  • eat some vegetables and some chest hair, LOL

  • I’m glad that you playing for cultural victory. Other letsplays are domination, and they are super boring, because everyone play on prince, send 10 longswordsmen to city (when you need 2 or 3), wasting half hour for all movements across map.

  • was the deluxe version worth the extra money? I got the normal one, but im wondering if its actually a lot better..

  • @redbaaron123 I heard Babylon is not aviable in multiplayer, hope it will be fixed (I am getting non-deluxe version soon though).

  • Why aren't those barbs fighting back though? You should be a sitting duck-even if it is fighting across a river ;)!

  • Holy crap! You can rename your cities!

  • lol your little country actually looks like mespotamia land between the two rivers

  • @clipmaster30001 wasnt babylon in that region?

  • @musicilove24 the region is called Mesopotamia the country is called Babylon, its different.

  • FUCKING HEY MAN!!! THANKS FOR REPLYING ON TheMelnTeam's video!!!

I would have never saw ur vids if it were't for u!!

  • @SimpleYTaccount TheMeInTeam is a total duche. We often clash in our forum... but... yeah.

  • I make war in the start off the game with a faction to steal their workers and expand faster with my cities^^

Man awesome comment, really fun to listen to!
