Those two twins are the most badass characters in this movie. They have a great sense of hearing and smell, they have RED EYES, and they're the ONLY ONES who go down fighting! Nothing says 'badass' like two kids taking on gigantic demons with only rocks and a lead pipe. If it were up to me, these guys would have lived. Who's with me on that?

@Lithiel I think the mask thing was because whoever is it gets posessed by that fox demon and they cannot take off the mask until someone else wins the game and is posessed. It makes sense, you'd stick out if you were the only kid in a mask. I also have to assume it makes it easier for the demon in some way to take control.

Perhaps the reason the twins went there was to try to fight and defeat whatever demon they run into during the game, given the fact they armed themselves and attacked the Aburatori [Oil Taker] demons

By comparison to the other kids, they were the only ones other than Yaimao who tried to fight the demons
