We agree here! For sure, the media likes to make everything in to a sporting event. To me there is a difference here about knowing about the torture and approving it. If Pelosi approved it, so did 3 other Democrats and 4 Republicans. That is my point here. She is being attacked because she is the Speaker of the House. She was NOT the speaker when this all went down.

Pelosi a hypocrit? I am not sure if you know this, but Pelosi and other Democrats and Republicans were there in those briefings. Those briefings were held in August, and the CIA was torturing the previous May. Also, when they are briefed, they are not asking for approval, they are just telling Congress what is going down. So, before you go off about ANY Congressman, do your homework. Oh, and torture is illegal. You might take a hard look at cheney/bush. They should be tortured.

Isn't it odd that she is just now speaking out about this ...in defense of herself and claiming not to have known what was going on. Seems to me that whatever is politically expedient for these people is the order of the day, and that includes all of them.  For her deny knowledge is indeed hypocrital...they knew it at the time and SAID NOTHING....and torture is illegal, for EVERYONE...not just a chosen few. Will be interesting to see where they put these prisoners....

Isn't it odd that she is the only one being questioned about this? She wasn't alone in these briefings. She didn't deny knowledge that torture might be used, but she was NOT told that it already had. They are NOT allowed to say anything after the briefings. Prisoner locations? I wouldn't care if the ones that were found guilty were in a super-max in my state. Plus, there is already Gitmo detainees in our prisons. Sounds to me like you need to get off Fox News and watch C-Span.

For your information, I watch a number of news channels: But truth doesn't change according to who says it. As for Pelosi and Reed and the rest of their ilk, they, along with your president, are determined to make this a socialist nation and frankly, that is NOT what our founding fathers had in mind, nor is it what we need. Ok, now at least you are being honest. You might have a different political view then who is in office now, but the torture and Gitmo thing should NOT be a political issue. And if you want to bitch about socialism, you should have been screaming about it during the last 8 years. President Obama is doing his best to fix what he inheritied. If I was in your shoes, I would work on your own parties politics instead of finding fault with mine. Your party promoted un-checked and un-regulated markets, lead us in to an illegal and immoral war, well, you write me back and tell me what the last administration did right. There may be some shortcomings from the last Admin but remember that Bush was told to go and remove Saddam by the Saudi's at any cost, and he did.

The ups and downs of the market have nothing to do with who is in control of the Congress. In 2006 there were 49 Democrats, 49 Republicans, and 2 Independents. That is hardly controlling Congress. You stated: ...shortcomings from the last Admin.. Are you kidding me? Those shortcomings amount to the worst President and administration in US history. Removing Saddam could have taken a week utilizing special forces. We are still there. Good God, what a total and complete failure of epic proportions.
