Is this the same effect I see on the show "The First 48" when they are introducing the Lead Homicide Detective in the begining of the show? If so, I have been wanting to learn that trick for a while now.
@cre8tivity06 Something along the lines of that. It's a common technique used on a lot of tv shows and movies. It's cool that you've been wanting to learn that. Nice channel by the way.
Sweet, speaking of FCP X, is this suppose to be the next version after FCP 7? Meaning better, because I hear that its like a quarter of the price. Or is it more of a new iMovie with more capabilities?
Hey Wes, I just came across your channel and wanted to tell you how much I enjoy and learn from your tutorials. Its great to see someone teaching more advanced FCP techniques instead of the same boring basics. Great job and keep it up.
@cheezlos Thanks. Good to hear that. FCP has a lot of potential if you know the ins and outs. Hopefully, I'll be showing you and everyone else cool and advanced stuff in FCP X in the next months as well as stuff in AE and Premiere Pro
@Cleuq Yea if you combine Photoshop and Final Cut Pro together, you can do a lot of damage. Watch my other tuts as Photoshop is essential to half of my effects.

@cheezlos It's more of a wait and see at this point. Supposedly it's coming out this week.

Great tutorial; I've never thought about using Photoshop to create a transparent image before.
