Heard a guy sing this in a bar in Florida once, with his guitar, but this version by Bryan Bowers, with no instrument behind him, is the alltime version of this song. Later, Bowers came on the Dr. Demento show with an autoharp and played one called "Rufus and Beverly," an oddly appealing twisted love song. His performance almost convinced me to buy an autoharp, rather than the q-chord I bought. What i got is much lower-maintenance.
