A great thing about Ike was that he didn't seek the presidential office, both the Republican and the Democratic parties wanted him to be their canidate. ultimately he chose those the Republican party.

It was a very mature military decision for Gen. Eisenhower to have the Russian Army instead of the U.S. Army invade Berlin saving thousands of American lives.

Hi; you can add one, Martin Luther King. This egregious man reached the highest top in U.S. History in the 20th Century. His voice freed men of all races: black people was freed from a hateful apartheid and abuse; white people was freed from their complex and prejudice. There is no greater man in U.S. history. Support the building of his memorial in Washington D.F. with no use of public money. MLK was awarded the Nobel prize, he was no president of the country, and he offered his life for all.

Ike is my hero as well. The best president of the 20th century. A War hero, yet he kept peace and got out of Korea before it became the first Vietnam. And being called "one of the greatest Americans" from Churchill is high praise. They were actually good friends.
