Lol, the animations are so ridiculous. The way the hero runs when seen from behind. Also funny where his legs bend; at the knees and the edge of his boots that is, omg.

I still haven't played it though, and by the descriptions it should be my kind of game.

@HardWarUK Well, what did I tell you :D....Even though I got my CD version working last summer and played it to the end, I still had to buy this now from GOG :P....There were few things that didnt work with the CD-version for example couldnt ride Twanhas, because mutli-core processor was way too fast for the game this old or something like that, but that shouldnt be problem now that this works on my much slower laptop (it isnt even multicore)

@Balnazzardi Just need a slowdown utility like CPUGrabber or SpeedswitchXP to be able to ride the Twon-ha and run through the Riss. I am playing my original game now just using SpeedswitchXP and it plays fine, and i have a 640x480 patch that means full screen playing on my 23" widescreen LCD!! That's why I hardly buy any GOGH games, as I have all the one's that I would buy, like MOO1 and 2, Outcast, Arx Fatalis, Freespace 1 and 2, the Tex Murphy games, TLJ and on and on...! :)

Half are hoping for a second Outcast, the other half pirating the first one - so I doubt we will get any game from anywhere like this in the future because of how casual people now talk about pirating on sites like his with seemingly no guilt at all!

@HardWarUK Well we finally have at least some good news....Outcast is downloadable from GoodOldGames in 4 days! It will only cost few dollars, like all the other games there. So all the players who missed this game back in -99 or didnt have chance to play this before, GO BUY IT!!! It's simply the best action-adventure ever!

@HardWarUK No, it will be both "Dont be an outcast from orion"....It was already announced some time ago that GoG made deal whit Atari and Infogrames who published Outcast kind of merged whit Atari like 2 years ago.

So both Outcast and Master of Orion will be there to download in 4 days, that's clearly what the message and countdowntimer says.

yes it is in 2007 but the main char (slater^) isn't on earth is he if i remeber correctly he's went in some kind of wormhole so the gadgets are almost all from a different place then earth oh and btw suprisingly freeroam game i love it (if i was not stuck that is :s)

absolutley one of the best games ever and prolly the best game I'll play. Extremely good soundtrack and what a story. Really had trouble finishing it but eventually did, whoa, and I guess now there are more ppl than me who are waiting for a sequel... Sadly there wont be one, just like the later case with Beyond Good & Evil (also tremendous game).

Best game ever!! I completed it four times... I like all the regions. But the city is pretty awesom and also the fishing area. And the Riss area(shamazaar) is also cool. I also like the way you could play the game. You could weaken the soldiers, or just buy weapons and blast everything of, or sneak & snipe, or talk to local talans who help you.

This is the best adventure game i'v ever played, i had the best time playing it. Amazing game experience, the freedom in this world felt elating. Unfortunately the gfx settings were limited , low res and whatnot, but all in all it was amazing for its time.
