  • rowing in a aus boat?

  • Hi

Quick question, did it ever come up as technical issue to apply the power more evenly so that the boat would not kick out or zigzag during the drive?

Murphy's law applies, dint fix what is not broken. I had a small up and down movement of the blade during the drive, we applied Murphy's law :0)

  • Look at that length!

  • how come the good crews never tap down or draw up? These guys seem to tap down to the groin, blade never near their chest, how do they get away with it?

  • @robinfisichella once you find chemistry with a boat, usually it just becomes a waste of energy to have such a huge difference in drive and recover height. you have to remember that when you tap down/catch, you are basically flinging the blade, which causes a torque on the overall boat. less of a press means more stability, especially in a pair where you can actually use the wind flow above the surface of the water as a balancing force.

  • thats crazy how much length they get... im so jealous

  • i love the way they pick up the weight at the catch, the arms just seem soo relaxed

  • Beautiful, but square a bit earlier!

  • @askhams really.

  • Italy has been what?

  • You're criticising Olympic gold medallists.

  • It's so easy to tell people how they should row when you can't row perfect yourself. Show us a video of you rowing a pair.

  • technique is absolutley flawless,

    congratulations on the gold!
