  • Call I.C.E. and every cook will scatter like roaches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the best episode ever. Shows a bit about what me as a chef and my cooks go through every day. So many think cooking professionally is easy like cooking at home, they take us for granted, and alot gave unreasonably high expectations. This shows people what it's like...hours of hard work in a hot kitchen, doing the best you can, cooking as fast as you can, maintaining consistency, all while getting barked at by the chef order after order and still keeping your cool....great episode!

  • i love this episode, it shows how much work goes into something many people take for granted, plus he showed up, got his ass kicked, and held it down...something cooks do everyday. gotta respect him for that

  • where is this located?????????? anyone pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

  • Wish we had prep-cooks at my work, lol. Les Halles is obviously doing well. :P.

My work is just 4 cooks for an entire day, doing all the mise-and-place, lunch and dinner. =].

Then again, smaller menu, maybe some more seats, but the size of the menu is an important factor.

  • @CalloftheWarrior1 well 657 covers times, lets say at 50 dollars each, is 32,850 dollars in one night. I would say they are doing ok.

  • @hallnoats4ever Well, true, but I'm also assuming rent for a building in downtown NY are probably sky high, I'd be quite interesting in knowing what sort of profit a place like that actually turns.

    Ah well. :)

  • @CalloftheWarrior1 i did not mean the owner took home 32,000 dollars that night.. You'd be surprised to know that I know that high end restaurants avg. an 8% profit margin on there plates

  • thanks kumquatsta for posting all these videos. you have awakened my cooking boner.

  • @bassodeum good to know, happy to help

  • lol saw this on tv a while ago and wanted to see it again

    thanks uploader

  • @aplayaz2000 no problem, you're very welcome

  • The restaurant industry doesn't "need" anybody. It's one of the purest meritocracies there are. If you are not good at your job you will be gone, either by being fired or because the restaurant that was ignorant enough to not fire a bad cook closed down. Mexican, American, whatever: as long as they can cook they will be welcome on a line somewhere. And if they can't it's the most obvious thing in the world.

  • Tony is the bomb.com An Carlos and Omar are cute.

  • so many people to please in Every direction.

  • thank you so much @kumquatsta!! all these no reservations eps are probably the only things keeping me sane in med school!!

  • @highvolume glad you enjoy them, happy to help

  • Anthony bourdain still trying to motivate himself at 14:32 "come to pappa" lol

  • OMG theres a FLY in the casserole @12.00 minutes!!! Bottom right hand corner of the pan!!

  • @vinnithee that was not a fly! lol

  • @sdfan17: Not only that, but more often times than not, they're the most reliable workers, with the best work ethics. That's what matters to employers, NOT what color they are or where they're from. Kudos and keep it up, friend! Some people can really be as ignorant/close minded as this dumbass JustinCase12061...

  • @sdfan17 exactly u are so right.even in my country the majority of restaurant workers aren't local because locals aren't willing to work the crazy hours.they'd rather be doctors or lawyers or office workers.i'm a sous-chef at my restaurant and foreign cooks show way more character compared to local cooks.local cooks tend to be more stuck-up beacause he/she feels that there is always a better job waiting for them.foreign cooks do their job well because their family income depends on it.

  • i'm a chef, it's funny to see him paining through this.

  • @landis69 i agree its hilarious!!

  • @JustinCase10261: what you don't seem to get through your skull, is once ANYONE has worked for and earned their money, they can do whatever the hell they want with it. Send it to their families, buy golf carts, donate it to charity, anything! They've earned it and worked for it and thusly have the right to do with it as they please. Go make friends with some other stupid ignorant retards that sound just like you and call it "patriotism"...the KKK.

  • @JustinCase10261 Shut the fuck up?

  • @krazzed101 Take own advice? kthxbai =D! Dont waste your time, seriously. You'll get destroyed, humiliated and made a fool of. Just take your shot, walk away and be the wiser lol.

  • @JustinCase10261 Calm the fuck down. Everyone is making there way, ever heard of fucking freedom to do what you want? Your fucking country is good at indoctrinating it. Get over yourself if your the best of the best maybe someone will hire you.

  • why the fuck are they only hiring mexicans? that's fuckin bullshit.

  • @JustinCase10261 because they are the only people that will take those kind of jobs. So shut the fuck up.

  • @JustinCase10261 go jump off a bridge ..and shut the fuck up ..weakminded bitch!

  • FINALLY! Fucking awesome upload mate, thanks so much.

  • @maidenfan12 no problem, mate. glad you like them

  • For a successful restaurant like Les Halles, is 650 covers normal?

  • @sng1867 defiantly, but it needs to be consistent you know? like theres shit restaurants that almost no one goes to, theres like popular joints in towns, unknown places that people love then theres the higher class places that have alot more pressure on them to give better/ best food

  • BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR EVER! Thank you so much for your uploads!
