nice angles. I'd be interested to see your range of camera mounts as well man. It's great where u put your camera, I can't wait to get some decent hardware so I can start filming hands free.
Arent you suppose to charge the system and test brakes on the trailer using the trolly valve, then apply emergency brakes and back under? I mean what if thoes slack adjusters were over 2 inches...could be a problem if fully loaded. Come on Swift ,,get it together.
I'm not sure what you think your watching here. I've just backed under the trailer, and gave a tug to make sure the kingpin is locked. That's the end of this clip, and the rest of the inspection and hookup takes place after I stopped the camera. I haven't even connected the air yet in this clip. This is meant to be nothing more than an interesting camera angle while driving the truck around to a new trailer.
@funguy661 "Charge the system" Only for very very old trailer that do not have spring in brake cans and it use air to hold trailer from moving once its charge full of air. Newer trailer don't require charging the air anymore due to spring are built in brake cans and it will hold when you back into the trailers. I never hook up the air lines when I back into the trailer now these days but I will stop before I lock the king pin to make sure trailer is sitting on 5th wheel then I hook up lines.
Dont you have airride on your trucks? The real way to hitch up is by lowering the tractor, back under the trailer, and a few inches before the actual point of engaging, raising the tractor up under the trailer and then back until locked. That way you wont scrape the grease of the fifth wheel. Thats the proper way, and the way we do it in europe
I've ruined my camera!! I had it attached to the landing gear frame, and was driving arouns a shippers yard. it won't focus properly now. I think I get the works filled with dust. It's still under warranty though, so I'll try to get them to fix it.
@SWIFT95330 What kind of camera were you using here? make, model? I am looking to buy a new camera, this isn't HD but it's pretty damn clear! so please tell me what kinda camera did ya use in this video?
Would suck serious ball's though if a rock wedged in the tread of one of those tires came out and broke the lens on that camera.

Might want to try a pre trip other wise you would notice that you need new axle bushing's. It's not supposed to move back and forth.
