I just bought a used H2 for only 22K and thanks guys for not wanting to keep yours. I am keeping this for lifetime and survival vehicle. I also got a warrantee for 50,000 more miles. The engine is a GMC 5 cylinder which is commonplace so it's not hard to fix it for a long time in the future. I see the jeep is so low and not prepared for water. H2 sits high and smooth ride. Th first jeeps were American Motors products same as this Hummer. Others were built by Ford and Willys.
@FlyingBoatLover congrats on your purchase. However the H2 has the V-8. The H3 is the one with the 5 cylinder, which did you get?. the H2 is only certified by hummer up to 20 inches. Which is actually lower than the jeeps. the H3 is 24 inches.
@3Hummer There was an aftermarket option if I'm thinking right, to be able to have the V8 the suburbans runned on. I could be wrong just as well, but I think there was!

The argument between Jeep and Hummer is stupid. First off all I own a 97 wrangler and an 07 H3. I have had many jeeps. Both seem equal off road to me. They are very different vehicles. The hummers have always been better at forging in my experiece and the jeeps more agile. BTW 35's fit an h3 stock with no rub, Stop fighting like children they are both nice. And furthermore if you hate hummers stop watching hummer videos just to troll

Jeeps are cheaper to lift and they will outperform the competition stock. Hey hummers come with a 5cyl now. Push button 4wd on them is weak and likely to short out. I have a hummer stupid n a rubicon

@3Hummer if u knew anything e83 causes just as must eviormental damage as mainstreem gas production, and a single gal of e85 will run dry miles before stock 87 octane, thats not opinion its fact, second of all the h2 and h3 isnt really all that great for the real off roader to many computers that water doesnt work well with, now h1's i love used to own one well it was my dads, and thats inspired me to do my bronco. which is better off road than any h2 h3, im 100% locked front and rear on 39s:)

buddy, no dealer test track, the dealers in Florida dont do anything anyway, read about the video youll see the location and do a search youll see its certainly no dealer test track location. Also dont look at the bow wave, look on the side it actually is deep, very deep i was going no faster than 3 mph if that.

There was actually a limited time model of the H3 that included a V8. I think it was called the H3 Alpha, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

the H3 was produced as the following model years
H3: 2006 - 2010
H3 Alpha: 2008 - 2010
H3T & H3T Alpha: 2009 - 2010
the 2006 H3 had a 3.5 Liter i5 engine
the 2007 - 2010 H3 and the 2009 - 2010 H3T had a 3.7 Liter i5
the 2008 - 2010 H3 Alpha and the 2009 - 2010 H3T Alpha had a 5.3 Liter V8 (the 2010 model is capable of running on E85 and regular gas)

@MADMIKEEDM There is a reason hummers look similar to jeeps, they were derived from jeeps. The H1 is basically and oversized MUTT with a ton of improvements. Jeeps are not a Mopar invention, Mopar is just the current caretaker of the brand name. the jeep design has branched out into many variations and forms.

or maybe its becuase your jeep is smaller, and lower then the hummer thus giving a visual illusion thour that your jeep is in deeper water. get some brains do some research before you post a dumb comment that makes your look more stupid that a pre schooler

h3's have the airbox up top like the wranglers jackass! the only reason your talkin shit is cause it has the hummer name. the newer grand cherokees dont have half the ability that the h3 does...but wait its ok and its still the shit cause its a jeep. wranglers do perform better in alot of areas but come on the h3 is the only other true off road suv out there... unless you wanna count the FJ

hah... i was driving a peice of shit 2 wheel drive dakota, going through mud expecting to get stuck but we didnt... we thought this hole was only a foot deep but it went right over the hood!! fuck that was a close one:P

That was'nt that deep, the H3 just drove fast through it. Maybe 1.5 feet, not much more.

buddy, no dealer test track, the dealers in Florida dont do anything anyway, read about the video youll see the location and do a search youll see its certainly no dealer test track location. Also dont look at the bow wave, look on the side it actually is deep, very deep i was going no faster than 3 mph if that.
