Hemet used to be much safer and less crowded but now it's the total opposite, It's full of some terrible people and some parts of hemet are dirty. But I still love it. (The clean parts)
Hemet man the streets of the rich and clean and you know what its safe there also i grew up there and living there was like heaven clouds.BUT now i live in dirty streets of SF with sirens shredding the streets every 1 minute.MAn i miss hemet some day im moving back to heaven city (Hemet)
@3mh97 Everyone always seems to think its the most horrible place to live. It isn't that bad, there are some nice parks, decent schools with some gifted teachers, and some great places to eat. There are much worse places to live. I really enjoy Hemet, its not for everyone, but no town is.
It's prolly under water right about now though. I remember the Winter of '29 ------ when I pushed water with my headlights on my Pontiac diesel station wagon all the way to Perris.
It's been a whole 18 years since I lived in Hemet. When the narrator mentioned Menlo and Kirby streets that seemed to ring a bell. When I lived in Hemet, I remember to be part of the last class to attend Hemet Jr. High School. A year later it became 'West Valley High.' As a kid, what I remember most about Hemet was that my brothers and I could feel safe walking anywhere around that town. I also remember a lot of mobile home parks.
@tweekerhater Thats like the pot calling the kettle black. The entire i.e. is known for tweekers. Try cities like Perris. If you say one particular city sucks, you bring out entire region down. Hemet isn't the greatest for sure, but I have lots of things I like about it.
I hate hemet. I am so glad I am moving to Laguna Beach next month. Hemet is full of fucking hookers and drug adicts. Oh yeah! and you cant forget the gang Bangers!
I used to go to Astrocamp in Idyllwild and we had to drive down to Hemet to set off the rockets we made. The joke was that nobody would care if Hemet burnt down. The reality is that is doesn't have even vegetation in it to catch on fire. Both are equally sad.
Hemet has only one; San Jacinto has the other. If they had two Wal-Marts in Hemet, they wouldn't know where to put them. Pretty soon the Hemet City Sales Tax will be higher than San Jacinto, and then one of the Wal-Marts will lose about 80% of it's "loyal" customers.
Hmm yeah I guess the other one is in San Jacinto...Only one then? What is that place good for ? It seems there is a good supply of Jack n the Boxes and Del Tacos on every corner. That counts for something I suppose..
We had snow flurries - nothing stuck - but that happens some times. Green trees are still around, but most have shucked their leaves by now. Some Liquid Ambers have the flame red leaves still on them. I'll try to see if I can get some vids of them. Idyllwild above us under 24" of firm snow and there's more prophesied for tonight. But the weather-guessers have been wrong before.
I dunknow...it's the same all over...but Hemet seems to be a lot quieter. After all there are no close freeway links to rob the place and get outta town, so the gangs kinda leave the place alone.
If we DO have any gangs, they are all local talent. BTW: Three prostitutes got busted here last week. That's about the whole cadre of them I think.
lol i hope its not 2 racist there, cus i live in europe but im going to california for 1 month and im 15 and im gonna live with a host family in Hemet. and im black (though im half white but u cant really see that).
Mexicans DO NOT =Spanish Blood. there is still indigenous people that do not speak spanish but their own language. latinos ancestors did conquer and stole as much land wich is now called argentina... we are talking about the white trash cockasian, dying inbreed
I never experienced racism until I came to HEMET, the older aging white america looks at you, like if you are the illegal when I was born here, if any one is the illegal here is the aging white america that being here since 1492
LOL! Here's a mobile home park, OMG! Thats all that there is here, it's a retirement community. And those are not condo's it's called cheap track housing. But all in all I've lived here for 30+ years and I like the 100 degree + weather. The old people snd the kids with the spike hair cause they want to be different even thow they look like the next kid standing beside that person. But I really love the snow birds.
Nah..got it all paid for by the insurance company..just waiting for the chance to put that new Porsche "Lipstick Red" paint on first...then I replace the windshield.
I just got the note that you posted here rawdude ..a bit late..(1 month ago!) but I think YouTube is running on the edge anyway...oh well..it was fun while it lasted.
Mimis was CROWDED when i went...i was there like one of the first days...i think before the grand opening...'soft opening' and it was CROWDED...just for a table of two like 30 minute wait...it was crazy...good food tho...now we need a sonic and olive garden ^_^
Thanks for sharing Joe i miss Hemet(and In-N-out) spent alot of time there as my cusin lives up in Homeland just off the Winchester road.

Did you know: actor James Lafferty, who plays Nathan Scott on the CW's One Tree Hill was born and raised in Hemet?
Back on topic; I used to live near Salinas, but I think Hemet is a friendly and peaceful town. Keep up the good work.
