This is what all journalism should be about. Educating and inspiring people to take action. Thanks for featuring a local non-profit that's doing such important global work.
Toan, Happy Birthday to one of the brightest lights in today's world... just another reason to celebrate you. Thank you to the GIG team for bringing awareness to these issues. We're in this together ! Thank you for your commitment to helping others understanding the collective action that must be sustained to create a better world for all of us:) Hugs!
Great message. There are tons of local opportunities out there to do something. The mother-daughter duo are such an inspiration, as is MedShare, who's been out there for over a decade working for people they don't even know. The difference this time, though, is that they've seen those faces in Haiti plastered all over the news, and with that sort of mental image, everything seems so much more urgent now.
Awesome work, GiG, in finding a local story like this and bringing it to the stage.
This story is so powerful. It gets me every time when Chuck Haupt tears up. I will not forget the people of Haiti and how this horrific event moved me act.
Powerful.
