  • its fucking awesome! for me the real rock n roll king!

  • What a brilliant idea to put Elvis in the scene being angry.

  • Odio las traducciones al castellano español!!!, hacen que se note totalmente el doblaje!!!

  • ¡Llévate ese rubio cabrón a Nueva York! Shake it baby shake it!!!

  • Elvis made rock popular. Jerry Lee, Little Richard, Chuck and others helped, a lot! But it was mainly Elvis. The Beatles brought r&r to the masses. They made it ....ah..respectable. They, more than anyone, influenced the sound of contemporary music more than anyone, including Elvis. But, props should be given to each and every artist of each era, including "Killer".

  • haha that makes me laugh is coming out and is annoying Elvis Jerry Lee Lewis

  • Denis Quaide looks so much like Jerry Lee Lewis in his young years!

  • @alyssheartsanime He looks NOTHING like him

  • Elvis is better

  • What a crock of horsesh*t... some of the world's most successful rock stars say that before Elvis there was nothing. Elvis reigned from 1954-1977. So lets think of his country style singing and what happened when it was introduced to Scotty Moore's blues guitaring down at Sun Studios... it was known as 'The Big Bang', and that was the birth of modern music. It was the first time the world heard this new style. A country based lyric alongside sped up blues being country picked. Rockabilly.

  • 2:49 papa is sleeping

  • Shake, baby, one more time for me...

  • denis quid was with out doubt brilliant in the role as jerry lee . wonder what jerry himself thought i think he was pleased with the film

  • who ever decided that the lady dancer should hold a cigarette on her hand is a genuis. it so add to it all!

  • Elvis was underrated at the beginning, but given time he became the KING!!!

  • Rght on, JerryLeeRuleS, you're right!

  • Did you know that Elvis NEVER could READ music either? He had it all in his head and knew what he wanted to hear. Genius. Wish I could do that.

  • Whooooooooa! Just got back from Jerry lee and Dennis Quaid playing Great balls of fire and told youtube commenters the same thing: Whole lotta shakin goin on here on Jerry Lee's video. Great Balls of fire!!!! Fun stuff.

  • Gran video, pero Jerry Lee sigue vivito y coleando! No nos lo mates hombre!

  • I shouldn't matter who influenced who to us as the fans. There was never this much in fighting with the people who created this music.Credit has been given where it's due. Elvis, Muddy,Jerry etc have all been praised by those who were influenced by them and they have praised those who influenced them. They got over it why cant all of you. How about just being grateful for the tremendous gift of rock and roll. One thing we all can agree on is that this music is top notch. Why not leave it at that.

  • I was into it until I heard J.W. say some shit in spanish....

  • @nate2quiet Well I figure "the more you know..." but okay, I wont correct you any further.

  • jesus that girl is hot....jerry you rock!!!

  • A lot of these artists that you guys are naming have all been a huge impact on future bands/artists. BUT I would have to say when it's all said and done that the band that was the most influential (and will ever be) are The Beatles. There has not been anybody in music since their time that has not copied off them or wasn't influenced by them in some way. And that includes ALL GENRES of music.

  • Is there anyone out there who has "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" on smash records? All I can find now is the Sun version the original I liked the Smash version better it was fuller stronger bass and drums The Sun version is great it's just different thinner maybe

  • love it !!

  • Are you stupid? I said THE VIDEO isn't Jerry Lee Lewis Not the audio, Learn how to read!

  • This video isn't Jerry Lee Lewis. It's Dennis Quaid. Pretty sure the music is Jerry Lee Lewis although I believe Dennis Played some piano on GBOF as well.

  • You're wrong, Jerry Lee Lewis sang and played piano on all the songs of the movie.

  • but the one who prettend (actor) to sing isnt Jerry Lee right?

  • No, the actor is Dennis Quaid, but vocals and piano were recorded by Jerry Lee.

  • John Doe of X was on Bass and I think Mojo Nixon was the guitarist.

  • Scratch that. Jimmie Vaughan was the guitarist. Mojo I think was the drummer.

  • i think its dennis singing but could be won either way good film great music :)

  • Dennis played piano for some scenes, but Jerry Lee Lewis actually recorded the songs over again because he wanted to prove who was the real Killer in this movie.

  • jimmie lee vaughan on guitar !!!

  • hehe rubio cabron

  • this movies awesome =P

  • WOW!!! es la escena más espectacular de la película, y es la historia mejor llevada al cine de la vida del gran Jerry Lee Lewis. (creo que es la única llevada al cine, pero quien podrá superarla?)

  • STUPENDO

  • "Elvis" who?? Who is Elvis? ;)

  • he put a wink i think hes joking

  • What talent did Elvis had beside the ability to shake his pathetic fat body?

  • Guitar, singing, a band.. what do you have?

  • Piano guitar bass trombone trumpet violin The fact he composed some of the most complex songs and even did piano to guitar variations.

  • Well Elvis or Jerry. Either way both of our sides are opinions. I like Elvis. You Like Jerry. Opinions.

  • True also Elvis had more reconnection.

  • Come again?

  • he sucked lots of cock back in his days

  • @JonKinchIsLegit EXXCCCUUUUUUSSSSSEEEEE ME! Jon baby, do YOU know what you will LOOK like when you are OLDER, or what kind of problems might become you? Elvis was born with a birth defect in a word of an enlarged COLON, HEART, SPLEEN, and LIVER. His colon extended as he aged and lost its elasticity, he was so so constipated, and in those days dr.'s didn't know. There is a video called Elvis Excess, I believe, it explains it. He was'nt perfect & his grndprnts were 1st cou.'s, r u perfct

  • @MyEllenrose Oh Jon, excuse me again, I told you the wrong video. It's Youtube, Elvis - Death by Exces. There are about 5 parts, not too long. Anyway, its got Drs. on it and 3d pics of Elvis where he died in his bathroom; actual Dr. comments from the one who was there and did the autopsy. Yes, there were lots of excesses. It shows his grndprnts. who were 1st cousins & it xplns that. Very interesting.

  • Hell YEA!

    100% agreed!

  • You are dead wrong. Elvis changed the world and profoundly influenced more contemporary artists than any before or since.

Elvis has been underrated since his death by some out of complete ignorance, but never underrated by those who were around when he was in his prime-or those who at least listen to those people like me.

  • For some reason or another, people tend to put elvis ahead of all of the others i mentioned. He's much better than the crap these days. But in my personal opinion, I think that he was a bit of a fake. He sings the blues like he was on a plantation all of his life. He doesn't seem authentic... I dunno

  • Elvis did influence yes but he really did just overshadow many who where greater. Elvis never even wrote a single song.

  • Too true, never wrote a song in his life. He collaborated with Otis Blackwell on his earlier hits ,yes; but who is noted in the R&RHOF as a songwriter, Blackwell

  • @joelmc73 UNDERrated? You serious?

  • @joelmc73 Maybe you join a racist group,a lot of black singers before elvis whit rock and roll and the best chuck berry, the media you read and see, give you the white guy you like.

  • @joelmc73 Actually Buddy Holly influenced more artist because Holly influenced the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones and they both influenced many other artists. so technically, if any musician is influenced by them, they are aslo influenced by Holly.

  • @50srocknrollfan18 correction, chuck berry influenced the beatles, they all even admit that.Kieth richards admits chuck is his idol and that the first time he heard him, he knew what he wanted to be when he grew up.

and we know what Kieth grew up to be.

  • @joelmc73 The only reason that Elvis takes all the credit is that Chuck Berry was black and Jerry Lee Lewis married his 13 year old 2nd cousin. Elvis only 'had a big influence' because the American media said so. Chuck Berry and JLL did far more. Although I still think The Beatles had the biggest influence.

  • @joelmc73 as influential as elvis was, the most influential on any type of music is probably mozart

  • @joelmc73 Underrated? I dont think so.

  • @joelmc73 Actually, Buddy Holly was the influence for Elvis, The Beatles, and most modern rock. Sure, Elvis was good, but he didn't really influence a ton of stuff. Buddy Holly did, as did Jerry Lee.

  • @joelmc73 I think your comment is the exact opposite. Elvis is massively over rated. The only reason he got the attention was because Chuck Berry was black and Jerry Lee Lewis married his 13 year old cousin. And The Beatles influenced more people than anyone...

  • I agree. Elvis didn't even write a single song.

  • at 4:08 the guy supposed to be elvis???

  • Yes he´s the guy who plays Elvis in the movie.

He´s name is Michael st. Gerard

  • yes.

  • It´s like Brazilian Funk Music!!! Yeaahahahaha!!!!

  • dudes elvis wasnt pissed i mean this was his bread and butter he was getting used to the high life after years of poverty, he was just worried hed lose it all, i mean elvis said that if he could play piano like jerry hed stop singing

  • Whos the hot blonde shakin her ass? ND NO SHIT SHERLOCK OF CORSE ITS NOT THE REAL ELVIS, JUST LIKE IT WASNT THE REAL JERRY LEE! THEY WERE ACTORS LOL.

  • Man....that's a whole helluva lotta shakin goin on!!! Whew..I'm worn out....!

    Great clip!

  • whos the girl in the white top??

  • some girl that was in the Bar

  • Elvis aint in this honey this is the a scene taken from a film called great balls of fire, its jerry lee lewis's life story , starring dennis quaid !!!!

  • Elvis is in this movie, yes. If you didn't notice he shows up 3 times, and even in this clip, where yes, he looks pissed.

  • yep robin is correct

  • Elvis died before this movie came out.

  • Dude, no te REAL elvis, bue it is represented on the movie by an actor DAH!!

  • Oh, dumbass.

  • how pissed does elvis look

  • Does anybody knows what the suit he uses on "steve allen show" in the movie is called. The suit he uses on the american bandstand in real. I really love it, and i want it :)

  • where jerry's chair was thrown back onto the stage...that really happened. my mother saw it (back in the day) on the tv!

  • I think every Jerry Lee Lewis fan have seen it.. On youtube! The nr 2 most common clip on youtube. He did it on all of the steve allen performances (steve allen did), and all of them is on youtube.

  • Hey dennis cupped a feel. LUCKY :)

  • dennis quaid is great as jerry lee saw the movie and have it on video he has all his mannerisms of to a tee its just like watching jerry lee as a young performer wonder what jerry thought of it? I'm sure he would be thrilled by it.

  • I think actually jerry lee did se it.

  • well yeah he saw it...he helped make it...the scenes where it goes to his hands through the movie are actually jerry lees hands

  • I can watch the movie and find 100 things that is not correct from what actully happend. So if Jerry Lee helped making it, he must have wanted it himself to make it different from how it was. I know he helped with the soundtrack.

  • Man, what I wouldn't give to be able to play like that...

  • Yeah, Jerry Lee Lewis played piano like Chet Atkins played guitar.

  • lmao how fucking sick who would that in puplic

  • Awsome song. But i still thinks it gets a little bit crappy when they talks in spanish.

  • Y tu sigues jodiendo?

  • ... Okay we say that.

  • hola amigo hasta q encuentro a alguien de mexico q le guste jerry lee lewis ami tambien me gusta mucho su musica lo q no me gustaba de el es su modo de ser jeje

    Oax

  • @RobinEP94 yea wtf?? everything is in spanish but the music

  • @RobinEP94, joalmar is a spanish dude, and he had this movie in spanish. learn the language or simply ignore the two lines they speak in spanish and enjoy the music!

  • now that sounds like the real king of rock and roll

  • I'd say that tuna is now pureed!

  • woman is so sexy

  • LOVE the movie "Great Balls Of Fire"....my uncle went to high school with Jerry Lee and his cousins Micky Gilly and Jimmy Swaggart in their hometown of Ferriday, Louisiana!! ;D

  • Is that true? Man that man must be a lucky guy.

  • I mean I CAN'T shake it that much.

  • Dang that girl can really shake it.I can even shake it that much.
