  • Neutral plates are not connected to the power in any way except through the electrolite. HHO with KOH as an electrolite only takes 1.67 volts to make HHO. Any more than that just makes heat. By adding neutral plates you cut the voltage in half for every plate gap the electricity has to jump. Neutral plates reduce the voltage actually making HHO and improve effeciency. Hope that helps.
