I am in frequent contact with Michael via letters, and he is actually very down that everything is turning out the way it is with his parole and everything. I can tell you that he is truly remorseful for what he has done and knows there is nothing he can do to change things but to try and make up for it when he gets out by giving to the community... that being said, he will prob not have a huge release party. Mostly just close friends and family, not like the old days. Times hv changed too much.

@cdw626 Yes. I also write him monthly and sometimes weekly. He seems so nice and sweet. I often wonder if he can stay clean. He's told me that a few times in his letters.

I really hope all goes well for him. He's still in the hole at Southport. Ughhh

He told me he has work lined up and a place to live when he gets out but he does seem very smart from what he talks about in his other letters. I love the letters he sends.

I sure miss the Limelight! I'm just near Michaels age and remember seeing him there from 1989-1995 all the time. Now the limelight is a small mall!!! I was never a club kid but talked to Michael about a dozen times. I write Michael sometimes and he's so miserable in prison. He's not doing well. Alot of back problems.

That doesn't justify Alig's drugged up , fucked up lifestyle in the " peak " of his popularity.He was on the road to nowhere anyway, the murder was a case of a really messed up person who took things too far, To a drug dealer or not, Alig has problems.

I personally an just in awe of the club scene in general, and M. Alig is as big as they get. I don't think he's serial killer material. He was junked out. People do crazy,F ed up things when they are as such. He definitely deserves a second chance. If he stays clean and uses his "power for good", there is no end to what he could create.

i read disco bloodbath when it first came out and i dont think it "explained it all" at all. it was a great one sided version as most autobiographies are. the sense of mystery in that we may never know it all is far more facinating than any so called truth or non truth dont you think? 12 years later and we are all still struck by all of them. lets face it, alot of people are making money off of michael as we speak, so nobody can truly hate on anyone, especially if your hand is in the honey pot..

nelson sullivan, he was this guy who went around new york city documenting his life on film. he was friends with christina (marilyn manson in the film) and a couple warhol stars. he planned to release all of his footage on a tv pubic access channel but unfortunately he died of a heart attack before he had the chance. there is a great tribute to him in the dvd extras of the shocumentary.
