I was meaning to order it but saw it at the store and picked it up. My youngest nephew*10* saw it and he remembered me dressing up to see the show. I was watching the dvd alone and he heard the overture and was captured by it. he sat through the whole thing. Cutest thing is he said,'if I can buy tickets can you come with me. I have money in my piggy bank.' ^_^

I just watched this on Blu Ray and it was amazing. Not a concert like the Les Miserables anniversary shows but a live performance. The only (slight) disappointment was that the chandelier doesn't rise nor does it crash but that was a minor setback because the performances are incredible.

What satisfaction....FINALLY the true staged version of the play. I have wanted this for over 20 years! It totally captured the spirit and feel of the stage, unlike the 2004 movie version. The chemistry and acting is superb, and so is the music/orchestrations. I am so satisfied...its like good sex!

Definately my favorite Erik and Christine. They're both beautiful, amazing voices, wonderful actors and they put so much emotion into it. Phenomenal. I cannot wait to get the dvd.

When you think about it, these 2 have been together for a very long time...They did a run of POTO in Vegas, and one of LND in Australia, and now this...There are some interviews on YouTube of them on LND. They sure do look young. Check that out!

I fell in love with the Phantom when I first heard Michael Crawford's version of it... For years, it was as though no other phantom could compare. My ears bled when I heard Gerard Butler try and pull it off.

The mask in the stage show has never been a 'tight right up against the skin' fit - there's always been a bit of a 'gap' in some places (most likely to allow for the prosthetic makeup as well as so that Christine is able to rip it off when necessary without damaging said makeup)

@GuyverFan95 I think all three performances were filmed (from my understanding) - at the very least both evening performances were filmed, plus I'm sure all cameras were recording at all times. So they had a lot of footage to pick and choose from to edit together for the DVD release.
