I had a 12 second flight from the ground and I threw the plane up in the air, it's posted on You Tube, just check my videos and it's listed there. Paper Jet 11-12 Seconds is the title. But this video is still cool. The challenge is without the mountain side.

Seeing this video and another inspired me to build and fly my own creation. I think I've figured out, real crisp folds, a couple careful placements of the folds by 1/2 millimeter special placement. What I have is a paper jet that flys with a hard throw at mach 10 paper scale to a stratosphere paper scale height and then glides. I got 12 seconds tonight after midnight at the party I went to and that was only at 30-40 foot altitude. It goes 70-100 altitude. Makes my arm sore!

I made a plane, designed a plane, one piece of paper, that will fly about that long without throwing it off a moutain. I need to get it posted on youtube. It's just too damn good not to share with the world. I designed it about 20 years ago, just happened on it by one or two unique folds. Thanks for sharing that video thought! The comment is right there are planes that loose less altitude, better lift, I'll post mine sometime in the future.

That's cool...many years ago I was on a highrise building in San Francisco and we started throwing paper airplanes off the roof. One or two caught an updraft and flew until we lost sight of them....in excess of 5-10 mins!!!

It was the first plane I threw!!! After that, I had

3-4 more attemps - the later ones were not so long

flights. Such hills have always good winds - much more better than wind situations at the walls of buildings!
