"3 out of 4 teens believe God helps those who help themselves." That obviously doesn't stop them from making poor choices.
I would support this, but not for religious reasons. It is not the religion that "saves" them, but the support from members of the community. Whether this was a Muslim group, Christian group, Hindu group, secular group, or something else...all are just as successful.
Good film, but i'm not religious. It dictates my life, and the life of my friends limiting them to do what they want. Isn't that the American dream, and isn't it in the Constitution? I think sooooo!
its not about religion but about a relationship. wat u want is not wat God wants.ur not being limitd but insted freed.remembr dat ur life wil end n wen u visit ur tomb youll ask urself"was my life purpose driven or was it a waste?"
think about it.i thought it was just religion too, but its not. try it out.
Doesn't limit your lifes choices? But the Bible tells you how to live it. Sounds like the same to me. What do you mean you used to be one of "THE LOST ONES?" Thats the kind of stuff that turns people away from religion. We are "LOST" because we don't believe like you do? Thats why i'm agnostic, i gave the fairy-tales a chance, but i dont believe in Santa either. It's all tall tales to me.
religion is a way to control.but the were does the bible decated your life?just follow the 10 commandments thats it.even christ said the other rules were man made
If you don't believe in GOD then I invite you to explain creation. Try to deny that GOD created the earth and everything in it to work in perfect harmony. The problem your facing is christians that don't follow christs example and pass off an incorrect image of GOD that doesn't make sense to anyone.
@tribrach1975 The Big Bang, Abiogenesis, and evolution all explain life. Everything does NOT work in perfect harmony. Our world and our universe are quite chaotic. From supernovas and black holes in the universe to natural disasters and murderers on Earth, I certainly don't see much harmony, forget "perfect harmony."
You mention an incorrect image of God. What is God? Can you define him coherently? (Coherently meaning don't just say something ambiguous like "the creator" or "everything.")
@Nightstalkertim Well first of all tribrach1975 said the earth and everything in it work in perfect harmony, so I don't know why you're bringing anything else into the picture. Secondly, the bible quite clearly explains why there are natural disasters...so if you want a reason for that it's in the first book, go read it. The last thing i'll say is that we've made it over 2000 years on earth, and that does take a lot of harmony from a lot of different angles.
@sirdanmcman Perfect harmony? Have you seen the middle east? The news? Murders, rape, theft/robber/burglary, homeless people, dead soldiers and dead civilians...that's right, we all live in perfect harmony...the holocaust, every war since the beginning of civilization...we've made it for much more than 2000 years...try at least 6 to 8 thousand years, not because of perfect harmony, but because of natural selection and out ability to adapt. The world you envision is ideal and doesn't exist.
@Nightstalkertim And you are very right God cannot be defined, but that is what makes Him unlike anything else. So, I would very much agree with you on that front.
@sirdanmcman If God cannot be defined, how can you say he exists? There's nothing to talk about if there's nothing to define. Debating the existence of such an entity is meaningless. Replace "God" with 'Fnarf." What's a Fnarf? Idk, I just made up the concept...Fnarfs are like nothing else and cannot be defined. A debate on fnarfs is thus futile, as is a debate on God.
the video is not synched with the audio. looks okay though
