I think it was HondaTuning mag that said 800hp is about all a stock honda crank & block can take before something gives. And its the crank that supports the block, not vice versa. With that in mind, arent you worried of getting some cylinder movement, causing a crank walk effect, without some kind of block gaurd and/or badass crank cap like the ones Spoon uses in their 11,000 rpm builds?

Its actually not slow, there is a reason for it being that low. You need to feather the throttle untile atleast second gear, it usually catches around 75, 80mph. So yes, with slicks or DRs it would be a higher trap speed. Plus 140 isn't that low. I know people in certain parts of the country who have trapped 140mph with 700+rwhp in their Z06s. It has alot to do with location, temp, track conditions, etc. Nice try though. Have a nice day.

Passed him by 110mph, couldn't even see his light's by 160mph. It's an almost stock Murcielago Lp640, ECU re-flash makes 680hp. Then again my car is great top end, these are good for the 1/4 and all but not that good top speed. Maybe this one is, all depends on gears.

Thats very slow for that much power. My Z06 runs between a 9.9-10.2 on street tires. On dr's or slicks it will do mid low 9s. It also has 622rwhp and weights much more than this Civic. Goes to show imports don't have shit on real cars.

Well to bring you back to reality...the world economy is kinda in a recession of sorts. So not everyone can afford a "Z06" or a car that cost $100k. People tend to make the best of what they got. For example this video. Pretty sure It didn't cost $100k to build this car. I'd also say its a very capable car considering its power to weight ratio. Look at it this way, 800WHP/ 2100LBS. A Z06 weighs 3180lbs...So unless he just spun his wheels there is no way you beat him.
As I stated I beat him from a roll on the higway. He runs .4 seconds quicker in the 1/4 mile, but he was running slicks. I ran on average a 10 flat on Michellen PS2s(345 rears). So yes with slicks or DRs I would smoke him.

You rarely see an 802 whp Civic thats daily driven. Just because V8's have can run Low 1/4 mile times doesnt mean that our 4 cylinder motors cant. This car can run 9's easy. Look at Central Florida Turbo. There Civic Runs 9's Easy and there All motor Civic EG ran 11's easy. The 4 Cylinder world has caught up and is badass
I think the v8 guys dont like that our inline 4 and inline 6 import monsters can make just as much horsepower with half the displacement. Any 1 can make power from that v8 shit, but power from a 4 cyl. thats what tuning is all about

I think it was HondaTuning mag that said 800hp is about all a stock honda crank & block can take before something gives. And its the crank that supports the block, not vice versa. With that in mind, arent you worried of getting some cylinder movement, causing a crank walk effect, without some kind of block gaurd and/or badass crank cap like the ones Spoon uses in their 11,000 rpm builds?
Just seems like that motor is not going to last long on that setup.

Its actually not slow, there is a reason for it being that low. You need to feather the throttle untile atleast second gear, it usually catches around 75, 80mph. So yes, with slicks or DRs it would be a higher trap speed. Plus 140 isn't that low. I know people in certain parts of the country who have trapped 140mph with 700+rwhp in their Z06s. It has alot to do with location, temp, track conditions, etc. Nice try though. Have a nice day.

Its still as fast as this, and I'm running extremely low boost and a conservative tune. Also I can still fly around the track, and my car isn't an embarrassment to the neighborhood.

There are so many muscle car's that would rape this! I outran one of these with this much power on the highway, we started at 60mph he jumped out and by 85 I started reeling him in. Passed him by 110mph, couldn't even see his light's by 160mph. It's an almost stock Murcielago Lp640, ECU re-flash makes 680hp. Then again my car is great top end, these are good for the 1/4 and all but not that good top speed. Maybe this one is, all depends on gears.

Thats very slow for that much power. My Z06 runs between a 9.9-10.2 on street tires. On dr's or slicks it will do mid low 9s. It also has 622rwhp and weights much more than this Civic. Goes to show imports don't have shit on real cars.

Owned me, no. First off a 600bhp Supra is slow as hell. That means its only making 540rwhp. My Z06 is much lighter than your Supra, has nearly 100more rwhp, a much bigger engine, more torque, bigger tires. Runs 10 flat in the 1/4 mile. My only mod is a supercharger @6psi. I think your Supra is toast. My car is barley modded too. I'm sorry to hear you dad can't get you something better than a Honda for your birthday. Well to bring you back to reality...the world economy is kinda in a recession of sorts. So not everyone can afford a "Z06" or a car that cost $100k. People tend to make the best of what they got. For example this video. Pretty sure It didn't cost $100k to build this car. I'd also say its a very capable car considering its power to weight ratio. Look at it this way, 800WHP/ 2100LBS. A Z06 weighs 3180lbs...So unless he just spun his wheels there is no way you beat him.

As I stated I beat him from a roll on the higway. He runs .4 seconds quicker in the 1/4 mile, but he was running slicks. I ran on average a 10 flat on Michellen PS2s(345 rears). So yes with slicks or DRs I would smoke him.

the record for b18c honda engines like this one is 1,100 with turbo and a 100 shot.
and 5-6 hundred is very common for these.
heck b16's in 2000 civic si's have been known to hit 600

my EG6 hatch has a B18C1 with a turbo set up. got a GT3071R turbo. im looking to get a GT40R turbo but idk how much stress my engine can take. the engine already has 100k on it.

come on dont blow that block. build it first and then think of upgrading the turbo. they cant hold more than 18 pounds stock, and shouldn't really ever go past 12 in the first place.

Why does there have to be so much freakin fighting. This peace of Honda history is one of the best. You V8 big block guys that run 8's and 9's. Well the Four Cylinders can too. You rarely see an 802 whp Civic thats daily driven. Just because V8's have can run Low 1/4 mile times doesnt mean that our 4 cylinder motors cant. This car can run 9's easy. Look at Central Florida Turbo. There Civic Runs 9's Easy and there All motor Civic EG ran 11's easy. The 4 Cylinder world has caught up and is badass

I think the v8 guys dont like that our inline 4 and inline 6 import monsters can make just as much horsepower with half the displacement. Any 1 can make power from that v8 shit, but power from a 4 cyl. thats what tuning is all about
