@ableukhov This version is a cover. The song was written by a brazilian singer Caetano Veloso, who was exiled in London by the brazilian military governement in the 60's. In the song he is basically singing how London is a great beautiful place and that he can walk the streets without fear, however he knows no one there and feels very very lonely, and wants to desperately come back to his birth place. A thing which he can't do. The 1st verse is the song self explanation.

This song was written by Caetano while he was in his exile in London, due to the Military Dictactorship in Brazil. You can notice explicit, thoug subtle, references about that in the song.

The part about "while my eyes goo looking for flying saucers in the sky" is a reference to the habit of the military junta of using supposed UFO in news as a way of distracting Brazilians of what was going on, while they kept torturing people in secret.
