@randyfromm The software is my own program. It connects to my home-made meter hardware and produces detailed analysis outputs; additionally, specifically for this channel, it also produces video subtitle files.
I then use standard video editing software (virtualdub) to merge the subtitles into the video.

Whats the polling rate of your power metering software?

@narcoti Configurable. In this case, I'd used too low a rate (1.3 sec sample duration, 0.65 second sample interval, 50% overlapped)
I normally have it set to 0.65 sec samples with 50% overlap, but forgot to check it for this video.
