Yeah, the audience thought that he was dissing James Mercer and I'm almost positive that he wasn't. He was actually complimenting James on the fact that he can give him the "bad" song that was Dracula's Daughter and turn it into one of The Decemberists biggest hits.

Gotta love this guy. Writes awesome songs (even the bad ones) AND disses James Mercer, AND plays O Valencia! at one concert.

no no.. he was saying the dracula song would become 'o valencia' when james mercer was done with it. he gave him mad props dude. cause i assume colin would say, "mad props"
