  • The hyper charger will increase the air flowing into the carbs (this is why you will need to re-jet them). The outcome is a little more torque and horsepower, only single digit increases - but very noticeable in the ride.

  • jeeezz man beautiful ...what exactly does the hypercharger do ??? does it just increase torque ??

  • move to the harley brain washers

  • The V-star was a great ride. When asked about how it was on the highway, it was a little slow getting up to speed. After I upgraded it with the hypercharger and exhaust (it was also rejetted), it was very responsive! I highly recommended that anyone who buys a 650cc bike or smaller should spend the extra dough to get more power out of it. What little you get you will notice and in some respects you will feel safer. I was never, and still don't attempt to drop the need on my motorcycle - but hav

  • How was the 650 for highway use? Or is it strictly for cruising around town? I'm looking at new '09 classic or silverado and can get either for $5000. I'm just afraid that I would regret not saving more money and getting something with a bigger motor. I'm no speed demon but sometimes you need that extra power in traffic situations. Other bad thing is I normally ride a Harley spotster 1200 and obviously the vstar will see weak compared to that. The HD is not mine though. The vstar price is right

  • yeah my first bike is one of these too but i think im ready for a faster one tha can at least wheelie

  • The crotch rocket, was the best part of that video!

  • more footage of the girl

  • NICE RIDE...what kind of jet kit?

  • what was the top speed of ur 650 before and after the charger and pipes, and how did it affect ur overall performance and gas mileage..thnx again!

  • I was able to get it up to 160km/h. However, I rarely speed - that's why I own a "Cruiser". The mileage improved signicantly. And passing speed is impressive. On the stock exhaust I did not like some of the challenges I had to get out of certain driving situations. With the modification - no problem.

  • I had a Softail once, piece of shit. Spent more time fixing it, breaking down. I could never ride very far. Not reliable.I bought that Softail new too. I'll never buy a Harley again. Over Priced. Over rated. i want to ride, not spend my weekends fixing that bike. The reason why Harley riders hate Jap bikes because deep down, they know Jap bikes are better made, better quality. reliable.

  • i agree...Harleys are way over-rated abd over priced..i love their looks and sound, but when it comes to durability they 're a lil behind...i really like my V-Star Classic 650...thnx

  • I used to dislike Harley as well. But my recent experience has been very good. It all started at the motorcycle show in Toronto January 2008!

  • I had no intention of walking over to Harley because I did not like that make - period. Well, I walked over because I heard of this new Fat Bob for 2008. Right away I liked what I saw.

  • Than I spoke with a very knowledgable rep from Harley and asked him a lot of questions, that he had no trouble answering. His personal experience (35 years worth - and not just Harley) help me understand some of the stereotypes surrounding these bikes. It was a bad time for Harley in the 90's but, check out what they've done recently. I am impressed and still very happy with my Fat Bob and Harley's service.

  • In the end it comes down to personal preference. Be proud of what you ride and respect other riders choices. At the end of the day we all ride 2 wheeled vehicles!

  • @Cheech808 Right on man, that's what I've been commenting on other videos too. People need to chill out, my dad was a biker, he had Harleys once and then he had a honda gold wing for touring, he loved motorcycles in general, if drove on 2 wheels it was cool with him, and that's how I like to think too. I lean towards cruisers, my friend is more of a sport bike person, I think that's cool, to each his own!

  • Thanks to all those who have viewed my video and made comments. I will post a video of my new Fat Bob when the riding season starts up. I am loving my new bike, and have to say that Harley really does know how to build a motorcycle. However, I also did enjoy riding my Yamaha with all of its extras! It was just time for something that fit me better. Safe riding out there.

  • PS: Why buy an American bike...? get a yamaha raider ,

  • Nice! I love that Hypercharger and exhaust mod, i might look into that. Though i do like the straight pipe sound too. I'm looking at picking up a used 2003 Xvs650 V-Star Classic, it will be my first bike ;)

PS: Why buy an American bike...?

  • nice bike! great japanese engineering! Better get a JAPANESE bike than a HARLEY! Harley is not reliable. AMERICAN piece of shit! Just like FORD, GM, CHRYSLER! LOL! American vehicles are bankrupt because they could not cath up with the great TITANS of ASIAN Innovation!

  • No, dumbass. American Vehicle Manufacturers are bankrupt because the government told them to restructurize to build unprofitable electric vehicles that no one wanted to buy. And the rest was corporate greed.

  • He said that American made is a piece of shit. He didn't say anything about how the Gov. screwed it up.

  • No, he stated a claim that said "Harley's are shit, just like Ford, GM, blah blah blah", Also stating that they went bankrupt because they couldn't keep up with the "titans of asian innovation"..

The first portion is a statement of opinion.

The second portion is a statement to be presented as a fact, to which it is not a fact. I answered his "fact" with the true reason. If you have a problem with the English Language and how things are presented and responded to, take it up with England.

  • Sorry, they're broke because they havn't made a reliable car in over thirty years! I'm an ex-used car salesman and whenever I sold a GM, Ford et al I just waited til it came back with a problem. When I sold a Toyota, Honda or Subaru (often with 200,000 miles on the clock!) I never saw them again.

  • Yup, because the car is shit. Couldn't possibly be because the idiot who bought it doesn't know how to maintain it properly, much less drive it for that matter. Such as people who decide it is acceptable to drive 15,000 miles without changing their pol. Or, people who find it intelligent to drive their car on E all the time. And those people ARE out there.

And you said it yourself, you are an ex "USED" car salesman. I know a lot of "USED" car salesman who make honest statements.

  • No dummy! When 9 out of 10 GM/Ford cars come back with bugs and 0 out of 10 Jap cars do, you start to see a pattern................... unless you're an idiot like you.

  • When 9 out of 10 GM/Ford cars come back with bugs and 0 out of 10 Jap cars do, then you revisit elementary school to relearn simple math, or visit an optometrist to get some coke bottles so your blind ass can see.

You still yet to see the symbolism of your previous comment. But it's okay, it's alot easier to call someone else an idiot when you hear it all your life I suppose.

  • You should have kept your V Star. I am trading my 2007 Harley Sportster 883 in on a new 2009 Tommy Blue w/ Flames V-Star Custom. The Harley is not all what it is chalked up to be. My bike has been in the shop five times in one year. I bought it brand new in 2007. I always had Japan made bikes but thought I would give the USA bike a chance. WRONG. I would never buy another Harley. You should have kept you V-Star....

  • It's because you bought a 883 for christs sake. That's a chick's bike.

  • The 883 is not a chicks bike. It's everyones bike. That bike was rode mostly by guys and is still. That was just a statement someone said because it's the smallest in cc but it's a guys bike.

  • Well, to each their own I suppose. All I know is I didn't like riding it much when I test-rode one. Went for the Softail Custom instead, and haven't looked back since.

  • That's cool. The good thing about this, we are all riding and having fun. To all the bikers out there, ride safe and have fun.

  • I had a Softail once, piece of shit. Spent more time fixing it, breaking down. I could never ride very far. Not reliable. I use to ride a Yamaha 650cc VStar, just bought a 2007 1100cc VStar. I never had any problems with the 650. I put over 22,000 miles. All I had to do with it was put new tires and battery and change plugs and oil. I bought that Softail new too. I'll never buy a Harley. Over Priced. Over rated.

  • Damn right. A bike is who you are. It is what you make out of it,Vtwinbreed is ignorant.

  • Do I even have to state how dumb that sounds? If you are controlled by a brand name, you have problems.

A bike isn't "who you are", unless you're a social anxiety disorder patient, or a pompass ass who needs to buy things to feel superior.

  • sounds awsome! will have to look those pipes up WHEN I get my '09 blackie!

  • i just bought a 98 like 2 days ago and i love it nice bike

  • what year is your bike?

  • Badass. Well Done.
