  • Keep you're fulcrum closed.

  • the solo was OK but i lost respect for you when i heard you worshipped Satan

  • @setnewer ? lol did he say he was a satanist because that and what you are thinking of are two different things satanism isnt even a religion its just hedonism besides anyone with a brain will know that "satan" dosent exist and neither does the christian god. i lost all respect for you when you became a moonbat crazy christian.

  • @RichieP36 o ya haha

  • tune ur snare drum dude

  • YAWN

  • whats the hardest solo you've written? I'd like to check it out, Il ike your writing

  • cool dog!

  • this is my schools fight song

  • its nice but might want to switch that to traditional

  • You hold the sticks wrong.. and u hit the drums wrong.. WRIST only dude.. god.. i cant beileve i had to tell u that even if im jst in 7th grade lol.. :D

  • @GodForGiv3n Wow you're obviously uneducated on drumming technique. The wrists should be the main gear, you are right there. Remember when performing accents or ghost notes, we do bring the other two gears into play. We use fingers for ghost notes and the elbows for accents. If you only use wrists, then you are seriously restricting yourself from what you could be playing.

  • ok i have to say, this is a snare, but WTF buy a marching snare, drumkit snares are for playing eal Songs and no things like that damn.

  • lame

  • damn people start talking shit early now dont they

  • Wow, people on YouTube LOVE to criticize people. Wait a minute....I just criticized people!!!

  • @MonkeyManBlues they should quote you and put it on youtube's homepage.....

  • @miniatureface Ha ha ha, thanks bud. :p

  • @MonkeyManBlues no problem bro

  • @MonkeyManBlues No sir, you made an acknowledgement. You're good.

  • Needs contrast majorly!!!! I agree with the Bland comment LOL!

  • your last name matches your technique and skill: Bland.

  • the thumb should always be on the stick completely, not wrapped around it like you're doing.

  • dude~ how long u learned it?? im start interesting with it now

  • you are using WAY to much arm.. work on using more rist

  • by the way your not holding the sticks right there to much of a gap between ur thumb and in dex finger and do you know your only supposed to play with your wrist

  • wiso sieht man sein gesicht nicht?

  • nice vid!!!

I bought a drum rudiment poster and dvd at

    DrumRudimentPoster.comx-minus the x :) it rocks!!!

  • how much is a good snare drum

  • @cheyennetheguitarist Stfu? He's not saying "LOOK AT ME IM BADASS!" He's just showing the song. So............................shut up.

  • go fast

  • the dog is flipping out

  • This is an original composition for my beginner students. and I don't think that I am big and bad. Just like to see aspiring drummers expand their horizons.

  • @Bhudda777

    lol

  • @Bhudda777 you forgot to play traditional!

  • @Bhudda777 ur holding the stick the wrong way

  • @msode21 There is nothing wrong with matched grip in this situation or the way he is playing it.

  • @AwesomeVideosHere i was just playing trying to show my bias towards triditional for rudimental drumming. just a joke..

  • @Bhudda777 It's really nice of you to post this to help us others :) I really need to work on rudiments and this can teach me so much :) Thankyou :D

  • @Bhudda777 i played this very song for a drum solo competition. i like it

  • Haha this is an original composition don't think you would be playing this.

  • good solo

  • fail

  • @cheyennetheguitarist

It's amusing when the young'un think they're better than people who've been drumming for years and years..

Not uncommon for them to be conceited though.

  • @cheyennetheguitarist your such a midget douche.

  • @IronCobraKid bitch

  • @cheyennetheguitarist Nice one im proud that you can swear

  • oXpaigejusticeXo@cheyennetheguitarist wow i hope you do knoww you sound reatrded just because he's doing the solo doesnt me he's trying to show off maybee he just likes too play the snare drumm!!! And good for YOU that you can play it i really dont think that anyone cares to be honest with you SOO STOPP HATIN ON SOMETHIN YOU AINT GOTT

  • @cheyennetheguitarist He never said he was big and bad, he was just sharing some new music for some newer players. Don't be a douche.

  • @cheyennetheguitarist yet ur name says ur a guitarist?

  • @ceana27 and??? i used to play guitar and i still do.. i made this account when i played guitar all the time. before i got into drums.

  • @cheyennetheguitarist

Arrogance, especially when your mistaken, will get you no-where in anything. Especially music.

  • @cheyennetheguitarist Shut the hell up.

  • @cheyennetheguitarist .....retard..........

  • @cheyennetheguitarist Lmao kid get a life. Im sure his DOG could beat you at drums...

  • @cheyennetheguitarist stfu kid, bet your solo sounded like sht

  • @idaho777 Nahh I dont think it will suck.. i was in 6th grade last 6 months.. and some states like ours push our limits of doing stuff like that.. and Yes.. I can do that too.. xD

  • @GodForGiv3n how is he using wrist only? he's using fingers and arm the whole time

  • @cheyennetheguitarist lol this makes me laugh, dude ur in 6th dude u have know right to critique anything

  • @cheyennetheguitarist I'm guessing this guy played it cleaner than you on a concert snare.

    In other words, stop talking

  • @cheyennetheguitarist Lol look at you bragging thinking your all big and bad!!! Think again!!!

  • @cheyennetheguitarist cool story bro

  • i speak right out, i dont have any fucking clue about how this things works. But i have to ask anyway. Is the *spinning drumstic trick* really necesary? Cause it just looks stupid, according to me that is. Is it a must to be able to spin the drumstick? In those kinds of "tournaments" do you get extra points for the spinning drumsticktrick?

  • @TheRealAkarnael there's a visual effect, yes.. but it's not that important

if the sticking is correct & the lick is clean, then stick tricks don' really matter

you would get a higher score for musicianship, than dumb visual stuff

  • Its called a visual, and yes you do get points at competitions. There is actually a whole category dedicated to visuals.

  • Thank you to both of you.

  • Its part of the solo, and it shows how much control and variety so in a way yes it does give extra points.

  • it was clean, but for marching cadences i would use traditional grip and a marching snare. But over all well done mate.

  • Use traditionnal. Looks much better when playing more military style beats. And the spins make it really akwars sounding.

  • "inspired by a marching style" my ass! you use far too much arm for this to be marching style at all, especially in your left hand!

  • he was inspired by marching band or your mother in underware, who cares?? only a short nerd like you cares, take care.

  • @Gandalfstyle inspiration normally means, following the proper technique used by the drumline.

umm, basically any drum instructor cares, dipshit

& hmm, every single judge at a competition cares; it's uniform, not dicking around however you feel

  • hmmm inspiration means for this guy to do this...so?, the only nerd talking about judges, stickings, traditional grip, etc its you, the type of guys that are at home playing in a pad for a whole life.

  • @Gandalfstyle that makes sense, the Cavies drumline are full of dipshit "nerds" who don't follow uniform technique, fucking brilliant.. high five for ignorance! :D

  • @Gandalfstyle i must agree with diggy. Actually unless you suck. Everyone cares about, sticking, grip, ect. Thats over half the part of being a real percussionist.

  • @foxxjoseph7 thank you, now if this guy looks up, a lot of the comments are about sticking

  • What titles have you won that gives you the right to to make nasty comments toward DCI veterans?

  • What tittle i won? i think you are confused dude...

  • @Gandalfstyle hahaahah, damn, yuo killed him, man.. hahah

  • I'm not confused. You feel that you have the right to pick fights with DCI veterans that DO go out and play, often. I think it is you that sits and home and plays on a pad. Technique is everything. It dictates your quality of sound. One of the many eccentricities I learned from The Cavaliers Snare line and the teachings of Mike MacIntosh. You have killed no one, my friend. You have killed people's opinion of you. If you require lessons in humility and self esteem, I would be happy to teach you.

  • technique does not define sound quality, only uniformity. in traditional grip I can get hell of a sound from my left hand if i use a ton of meoller but that's not what my line plays, so i don't play like that

  • It only doesn't if you think it doesn't. In a line, no technique= no uniformity= no sound. You ARE right in a way. A line with no technique has no quality of sound. Moeller, downstroke, lift........... the style doesn't matter. The reason your sound may be less when you are playing your line's chosen technique is because it's not as comfortable to you as moeller. You simply haven't mastered it yet. A guy like Jojo Mayer can use any grip and get the same sound. Bad technique=bad sound. Always!

  • @timartin91 actually it does. a line cant be clean with different techniques.

  • amzing labrador, you´re right

  • it sounded better than it looked. clean up your grip and what not.

  • no traditional grip

    failed twirl tempts

    over all 3 *'s

  • i wana see you do that with traditional grip and some hybrid rudiments....

  • Labrador in the background is amazing.

  • @mrwoz87 Thanks to your comment i noticed the labrador and now look at this video as way more epic than it ever was.

  • Where he's from they dont use the "vulcrum" grip. They use their back fingers for the pressure and relax their front fingers. Almost the opposite of ours. Their way is much harder to control. Just thuoght some people would like to know, and i felt like stopping future flamers :]

  • It's pronounced "Fulcrum".........

  • i saw your post and automaticly thought. "wow this guy playin this song is wannabe" lol good point too!

  • @Luckyjasondrum cool story bro. My apologies for speech.....

  • not bad, even though I don't know why you are doing stick tricks with a concert snare solo :/ Playing area was a bit off. I'm not saying you should play dead center (because snare playing area is slightly above center, NOT dead center) but just clean it a bit.

Other than that is was alright :)

  • play in the center lols

  • anybody know any good free websites for drum line exercises rudiments practice material etc?? please reply!

  • yeah, the vic firth website has some good stuff.

  • I've been drumming since '69 and find that while all the tips are great, use what works best for YOU. "cheating"? Not sure what you mean.... Unless you are being graded at "solo an ensemble", who cares?

  • Dog!

  • his beats are slow and steady, its kinda cool

  • Dude are you left handed I just noticed at the background how your electric drums are setup and saw how you tend to keep your left hand a bit behind your right.

  • YOu can tell this guy is used to playing traditional, look how far out his left arm goes compared to his right. noiice.

  • do traditional.

  • dude are you using nylon sticks?

  • Nice Shirt :L

  • some people prefer match, i know i get better consistancy playing match, but thats just me. other people feel more comfortable and play better traditional. it all depends on the person.

  • I only play matched, not traditional. I've been wanting to learn traditional for a long time...my entire high school drumline does matched, and I'd really liked us to use trad.

I don't think it really matters in the long run, though.

Also, I was taught to use fingers AND wrists. There's different times when you should use each.

  • who really cares if hes playing match...i think that this could be a little more interesting but playing traditional wouldnt've changed that...You're good man, keep playing

  • can u please make the sheet music free i love this man

  • im having trouble with my my diddling i can do a buzz roll but not an open one

  • its all in your fingers. practice just going single, double, then triple on quarter notes. i did that when i was young and it cleared up everything

  • hey im just putting my two cents in on this one when i say is really in the wrist and what i do is two strokes on each hand slow then start to speed up the tempo and go as fast as you can until you mess up and then slow down. it really helps. (remember use your wrist not fingers, its actually kind of cheating when you use fingers)

  • different people play different ways and i was taught to use my fingers. thats the one thing about percussion thats sucks is that theres no real right way to play

  • How is playing with your fingers cheating? Thats like saying playing matched is cheating but playing traditional isn't.

  • For this speed, using your fingers isn't generally accepted. When it comes to more up-tempo stuff, sometimes it's unavoidable.

  • In my opinion traditional looks more visual than matched but again, it is much harder. Secondly whoever said "using your fingers at this tempo isn't generally accepted" is full of crap. There's nothing wrong with using your fingers instead of your wrist. If you try to play at tempos like 150+ with just your wrists you're going to damage them

  • I guess I wasn't very clear. When I say "using your fingers" i mean putting them out there further than necessary to get a big roll or something like that.

In marching percussion, you're told never to let your fingers fly like that EVER, simply for the sake of keeping every person looking the same.

Using just your wrists can damage them, which is why you just hardly move out your fingers and give them room.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • anyone know a place where i can get free snare drum sheet music

  • girl's got rhythm

  • dumb ass hold the sticks like a 4th grader

  • good vdieo but please learn traditional for marching style lol

  • This is some old school stuff. Reminds me of some of the NARD solos.

  • You all are the most judgmental people i have ever come across!

  • loll..your dogs corpse just appeared outta nowhere..loll

    nice playing.

  • i think concert snare solos are retarded, but thats just my opnyon,

  • buy some man sticks and learn traditional

  • Blow yourself.

  • define man sticks

  • yall need to chill he is prob a lot better than you just when you are playing and you start spinning the sticks only spin one and still play the other and you will sound alot better and it good on an easy song but go ahead

  • who said it was the best he could play? seriously chill out

  • ur holding the sticks wrong...

  • thats not wrong at all,.....

    its just a different style...

  • How the hell are they holding the sticks wrong? Yeah exactly, they're not. There are actually 2 positions that you can hold them you know, dumb ass. :|

  • match grip

  • dude you freaking stink plus you are not even holding the drumsticks the traditional way

  • lol your dog probably hate you now XD

  • nice

  • ☻/

    /▌

    / \

  • ya dude fuck all the dumbasses sayin your bad

this probably isnt the hardest song you can play

  • I wrote this one for my students learning how to read and play rudimental solos. It serves its purpose but is not necessarily an exhibition piece. I have 12 year old students playing this one.

  • What the hell you talking about, you probably don't even have retard. He's good

  • hahaha that visual in the begging was halarious... horrible

  • You really should...

  • this dude is not that good

  • nice, u cant play traditional style though

  • who cares about traditional? it's outdated.

  • its better....... if you can play traditional well you can play matched better.

  • i agree.

  • who cares about traditional? who doesn't care about traditional,? every DCI drum corp, all of the wgi independent lines, and most high school drumlines care about traditional. not to mention many great drum set players use traditional. you can NOT be a well rounded percussionist, unless you learn traditional.

  • actually man. Knowing matched grip makes you a better percussionist. Even SCV played matched grip one year. Traditional is good but its more of how someone feels confortable playing. Why play traditional if the person is going to play dirty?

  • Knowing one or the other has nothing to do with how good of a percussionist you are. ?_? lol. And anyone can practice traditional and not be dirty. knowing both DOES provide one with a wider variety of playing styles and such. I do agree that one should learn both.

  • I agree..I read "P3rcuss10n"s comment worng. i thought he/she was implying that people should only play traditional..ohh dang I feel like an ass now lol

  • its all fine bro. haha. It happens. I was just engaging in conversation. :)

  • 136 beats per minute OMFG ROFL

  • lmao nice dog!

  • do you have the chart for it?

  • ease up on the sticks! you're like strangling them.

  • that would sound so much better on a marching snare drum

  • the only thing that bugs me is in the beginning your left hand is at the center of the snare

  • this is drumings
