We are not our brother's keeper!!!! Unless our brother is a cow or dog or of similar mentality. We should be our brother's helper but that cannot be mandated by the government. It is a individual choosing to help another individual that he knows and knows the circumstance of his/her need. Being a facilitator preventing someone from learning from their irresponsible behavior is not really helping them!!!

This message is why I grow a garden, keep emergency supplies, learn to live small. The bubble he speaks of. I've been forced to "pay" into SS all my working life. Government has sent me occasional updates on my SS "investment" and what I can expect to get if I retire at different ages. Now that forced "investment" is being called an entitlement and I should not expect to receive it. OK. But why bail out the crooks, whose business has failed, with government money? At the expense of citizens?

If I want to sell my excess produce, eggs, raw milk, cream, butter, etc... to others in my community- guess what? I'll get raided by a swat team on the say-so of some FDA schmuck! When is this going to stop?
Here's a good start: Get involved; talk to your neighbors, family & friends about what is happening with this crazy gov't. Then spread Ron Paul's message. Then vote for Ron Paul.
The Tea Party isn't really about Social Conservatism. It's about Fiscal Conservatism. Real conservatism is about educating, not forcing people's beliefs.

I'm not exactly sure why Ron Paul spoke at a Tea Party rally. He's not a social conservative...
Watched the tail end of the debates last night and I wasn't really impressed with any of the candidates aside from Ron Paul. (Though none of them will likely get my vote...I'm Ms. Liberal. LOL)
@erjanica25 I'm glad you at least watched it and stay informed. Most people don't do that. Especially if they assume that all the candidates are bad because of a party title.
He spoke at a Tea party rally because he is considered the founder of the movement. If he impressed you then perhaps you should look more into what he has to say. You'll find how consistent he has been throughout the years and has never changed. You can look up youtube vids of him from the 80's and his stances are the same. Don't think that just because you're "Ms Liberal" that you need to adhere to a strict ideology.
