  • BOZ SCAGGS IS BADDDDDDDDDDD TO DA BONE!!

  • '70s production at its best, no doubt.

  • So badass and smooth.

  • Is this Steve Gadd and co. from CTI. Whoever they were the damned good musicians!

  • @1ktyree It does have that CTI sound doesn't it? The flute fills remind me of Hubert Laws.

  • Never heard this track in the 70's or can't recall it - too busy bringing up kids commuting etc.,, but when looking at a Music Club Video of Seventies Rock and Pop '76 found this great track which on stage is actually I believe a better performance than here. Great mood wherever it was performed. Not only this but find the Sex Pistols, James Brown and so many other fabulous talents if you can find the Video.

  • Thank God I finally found this song. Everytime I heard it playing people never knew who sung it or what it was called. It took me 2 years to find it. I'm relieved now, LOL.

  • Best baseline ever...no matter what generation you hail from...

  • transistor radio to the ear baby

  • This IS a piece of the 1970's. If you were alive then, you remember this song.

  • First year in college ... brings back a lot of memories about lost love. Boz, you're the best!

  • I was a 15 year old boy hanging out in Petticoat Lane in The City district of London most Sundays with a group of friends when I came across a shop called the Electric Light Store flogging import albums & singles from the US, first one I bought was this baby, many, many more followed as vinyl became my ultimate passion, bar the female of the species.......and even to this day I buy vinyl & only have 20 CD's to my name!

  • I played this album in H.S. till it was worn....... unreal sound. I couldn't get enough :)

  • his vocals on this tune are like drinking a deep, rich red wine or an aged mellow cognac!

  • This song should not have a dislike button imo :)) Even back in '76 the Toto posse were awesome musicians. Steve Lukather's guitar sounds amazing.

  • @droptopsixfo You are slow.

  • @Khultan Well if you wouldn't mind elaborating, I'd love to hear why some faceless ball-less swine on youtube thinks I'm "slow"

  • @droptopsixfo Yes they can!

  • @droptopsixfo

Yes they can!!!!! All these years I never knew what Boz looked like. I remember my mom playing this in the house. So I must have been 3 years old.

  • @msknighttime My dad played this for me when I was growing up and I always pictured some Kool & the Gang looking band.

  • @droptopsixfo yes, but unfortunately we are to few and far between

  • Is it me or is this tune the mutts nuts? ;-)

  • ...IS IT JUST ME OR DID EVERYONE ELSE THINK AARON NEVILLE SANG THIS SONG TOO?

  • for the 29 dislikes....My theory is that since there are actual musical instruments on this song...flutes, strings, winds, background vocals...not to mention the words portraying a life dynamic of woman and man.. no wonder they probably cant handle all the real music and real meaning...so they run to their ipods looking for instructions

  • The fidelity is pretty thin on this vid.

  • YEAH,,,I LUVVV IT SO SMOOTH,,,

  • my foots tappin, my head is bobbin to the beat....miss this

  • I will now criticize music that is new and say good things about music that is old, to see if my comment will receive "thumb ups."

  • @ rdgroce HAHAHA Yes, it is!!! Well said...

  • Great trivia about a great song, thanks.

Okay I have a question - at 3:30 there is an electronic tone - was that intentional or a mistake that they decided sounded pretty good? It never bothered me, I just thought it was kind of peculiar.

  • smooth and rich

  • One the worlds greatest song.

  • To see my husband's face when I play this song from my playlist - he loses his mind...priceless!
