  • I've heard guinea fowls love to look at them selves in mirrors.

  • yea.. if you don't mind their poop.. you'll be alright.. ;)

I've 3 myself.. and kind of tired of their poop.. lol

  • awwwwwwwwwww i want one

  • lol i had one show up about three days ago and its been here ever since. Its sitting on top of my chicken coop right now as we speak.I dont mind it being here i think she loanly.

  • I am so jealous! Ours either were eaten by foxes or ran off to find a better roost. ;) I miss them! How lucky that they adopted you! hahaha

  • Hopefully someone will cook them I fu**ing hate those noisy bastards!

  • zonder de text te lezen kon ik aan de stenen al zien dat dit in Nederland was :P. Wel mooi. leuke vogels ook.

  • We live in the country too, and six or seven of them show up every day, sometimes twice a day to be fed. I researched guinea fowl on Wikipedia, and it says the noise they make sounds like they're saying 'pot rack,' and it sounds right if you listen to them.

  • I have three guinea birds... they are so loud but really interesting birds.

If you give then some buckles or (larger) bells to play with they actually will pick them up and jingle them... it's appealing.

  • they showed up in my house too but I live in the country there are 4 or 5 of them

  • They showed up at the house of a vegetarian. what Luck!

  • Hope they dont end up in anybodys oven ... poor birds :p I actually have two guinea fowls myself. I just let them roam around our front yard. They are really good watch dogs or should I say Watch Birds for the house cause they really make a loud noise if they see strangers in our property. Really cool birds to have around. I'm planning to add some more of the squackers :)

  • @dogsybn I feed wild turkeys every morning and they keep cats from attacking birds that eat at the feeder. They also scare away a visiting couple of Mallard ducks.

  • bet they show up everyday now since you've given them food? Or they did'nt leave at all? lol

  • Yep, I think we have spoiled them :-)

They show up in the morning AND evening now.

I am just worried that we are fattening

them up and one day they end up in the oven of one of our neighbors :-(
