@Atheisophy Logic doesn't only apply to deduction and induction. Your "comparison" was an argument by analogy, which was false (for obvious reasons). I'm not part of a community and the reason for why I said what I did was because it is an established scientific fact, which is not analogous to religious dogma (in your example: God /= science, which breaks the analogy). Also, it's better to attempt to be intelligent by proxy than to be an idiot by proxy.
