I take issue with redistribution of wealth, which you mention twice. This is not what Jesus was about. Giving to the poor is a holy act but as Jesus said, there will always be poor among us.

Christians have gotten way out of hand taking my ancestor's pagan commercial holiday and declaring it for their God. What if we honored the holiday as it was intended and rejoiced the beginning of the increasing daylight each day instead of some upstart religion's pasted on story? I think it's great that you people want to have a more religious holiday, but WAKE UP. Christmas (and a lot of other christian holidays) were assimilated from other cultures to convert them. Its not about Jesus. According to the bible he wasn't even born in December.
