This isn't a fake, it was cancelled. Like the most really promising looking betas. :( Ah well, There are still other versions of part 2. But they could've made Resident Evil Zero's N64 version for GBA. They never finished it. I played the Game Cube version and it's great.

No, it's very real. It's not a full game, but rather a proof-of-concept demo by Raylight Studios. This 3d engine was actually used in a few games, such as Ozzy & Drix, as well as the full-3d port of Wing Commander Prophecy.

Not a bad port considering the gba hardware. Though the best setting to play any horror type of game is on the big screen in the house with the lights off at night or in the dark and not on a portable because it sort of ruins the experience imo. This still is a pretty good port for the gba hardware which must have pushed the gba hardware to the max.

The engine mentioned in the splash was one that tried to market its ability to do decent 3d models, which at the time noone else really did. They did a lot of "spec" work at the time, where you basically make a short demo of an existing game in an attempt to get work.

@VariousFor it's actually no fake. this is the raylight studio engine. the GBA has the processing power to do 3D. The difference is that in these vids, the background is 2d and all the processing was used to do the polygonal characters. There were a couple of GBA games released that actually had 3d effects.

@VariousFor Um you are quite wrong. The GBA did have very limited 3D graphics processing. Early example of this is Tony Hawk. The 3D models are trashy but can be rotated from all angles and its very obvious they are 3D. The reason the GBA could do this game was because the backgrounds were all 2D. All the focus could then be thrown on the models themselves. Do some research.

you do realize games are in development for several years prior to their release sometimes. on top of that there were quite a few games in the GBA library that took advantage of 3D models in game. Capcom also stopped a port of the original Resident Evil on GBC too so it was not much of a surprise that this got canned. you should do some research before calling foul on things
