  • dynamic water physics could still use some work..

  • и нашитм разработчикам респект и зеленым товарисчам

если б еще оптимизациеи кто-нибудь в наше непростое для Рс время занимался - глядишь и РС как платформа ожила б снова

  • so the water looks a lite wierd, who cares?

Interactive, real-time water rendering is impressive enough for me:P

  • @assbacon1 I'm with you on that.

Now we just need to upscale it x1000.

And put a boat in it, with DMM walls.

so a boat can sink realistically.

    Woudn't that be cool?

  • It's a shame that no one ever looks to S.TA.L.K.E.R for good graphics- as it initially looks bland, but it has better textures and interior lighting than Crysis (I have both, so don't say I don't know what I'm talking about) THE BRICKS ARE ACTUALLY 3D!!!!

  • Loved cryostasis, normally I dont like those games where you slowly find out what happened but this was good.

  • Well if you Dont use a floppy ATI card stick with true Nvidia & a Physx card you be rocking.. lol this video looks like gameplay was around 20FPS

  • the physics are sick!!!!!!!!!

  • If you think about it, the water would be half frozen so it may look like jelly and not join together as well as warm water?

  • is it me or does the water look so fricken weird o_O

  • no. to me it kind of looks like jelly

  • that sorta counts as weird since water does not have the solidity of jelly... it reminds me of mercury but transparent.

  • @2x4 jelly or not. Looks 100 times better than any water in any game so far.

the reason why it looks like that is because we can notice it's clumpyness (due to less particles) than in real water where we can't see the particles (because they are the size of atoms..>_>)..sotrillions of particles of water in a pin vs 10,000 particles in a video game for the size of the screen. Understand?..otherwise the consistency and the flow is very very accurate

  • @2x4 That is due to the amount of particles used to create the water, the more you use the more fluid it seems but at the price of performance, the bigger the particles the easier to run. Have a look at Portal 2 propulsion gel to see large particles giving an over all jelly like effect.

  • Anyone know how good this would play, with a single GTX 295?

  • this video is recorded with single gtx295

  • Good, I was hoping it was a single and not a duel, thank you.

  • @Darkgod171990 when i put it on my GTX 295, 6gb DDR3 1333mhz, i7 920 ( Not overclocked yet) a couple of days ago, I was having single digit FPS, though now I'v updated my drivers, and physX performs allot better so I will try again soon...

  • The water is pretty amazing. Cryostatis is a good game.

  • dude i never though this game would be so dam awesome.. the water is sooo cool! i subed to u! keep them coming!

oh u think i can run the game good?

    my specs:

    4G RAM ddr3

    Intel Core i7 920 2,66GHz

    1650X1050

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 - 1g ded

  • Hmmm, they still haven't got water quite right yet. The splashes only went in a single point on the item dropped into the water. And were more or less identicle for every splash. It's almost as if the splash effects or on a grid in the water. Pushing of button or use of leavers is also very inaccurate - hand location vs button location.

  • i have some questions about the game:

how do you think i'll run on my geforce 9500 gt GDDR3 (greater performance than you think), C2D E7400 2.8GHZ, 3 GB RAM?

If i download the physx patch for this game and it turns out it kills my performance, can i disable with no problem?

    thanks

  • so is this just a bench mark program or can u actually play im also downloading this now.

  • this is just a benchmark demo. im playing the game too but it doesnt have the flow

  • i played the demo and it looks and play brilliant. I have a video up if you wish to see the fisrst part of the demo. The tech demo shows alot more detail though

  • Nice videos man I subbed!

  • Amazing video, make more!!

  • thanks man. i'll be posting some very soon. too bad there are not too many new titles out yet

  • Yeah, no kidding, i'm waiting for my parts to come in, I got the evga 275 gtx, i hope its awesome!

  • hey waht did you use to render this cause anytime i try to render in hd it doesnt work :(

    thanks

  • i recorded it in full resolution with fraps and used "resize fiter" in virtual dub to size it down to 720p.

  • It is said that the ATI cards have an error in level 15 I think. Nvidia cards do not have the error, why this occur i don't know but I can live with that. Have a ATI card myself and have allways been bying their cards.

  • omg, epic water physics, and awesome graphics! :D

  • the grafik looks aws

  • yeah it has been out for a long time in russia, it used stardock protection which was easily cracked and so you can play this game for almost a month now in russian, multi-version comes out soon.

  • have you played it yet?? if so, how is the gameplay and what are your first thoughts??

  • no i'm waiting for the full game in English so i can buy it, i don't do anything illegal..

however i have played this tech demo and a special demo they also released privately 6 months ago.

I don't like this game at all, i don't like its game type, i didn't like bioshock either and this game directly reminds me of it

great video, it was good even without viewing the HD part.

    voted 4/5

  • Well, I am russian and have played it. If it will be any good like it was in russian, it would be great. The story is very deep and it's better if I don't spoil it for you. However, since you have posted this 2 weeks ago it is probable you already played it.. hehe...
