How do you use an android with this im getting this for my ipad but I have an android phone but I didn't quite understand what you meant

@TCB1468 Hi what you can do is connect the earphone out jack from android phone to line input on back of unit and will work. I use with MacBook and works great.

Ok thanks and since this has batteries if I leave it plugged in almost all the time will the batteries overcharge and not work well for the time I do use the batteries

@TCB1468 Forgot to tell you an important part that I realized after shooting the review. The batteries are great when you use an iphone, iPad, etc. But if you use line in say with android or laptop the unit shuts off which is not good. If plugged in stays on but for your scenario with android that would be an issue.
