  • Just stack them HackCausality

  • Realistic animation! 10 out of 10

  • I do see a significant elasticity! Right?

  • The bricks aren't attached to each other with mortar or cement. This simulation is so unrealistic it's pointless.

  • it would be beter if the bricks explode when hit and a bunch of semi naked lesbians put out the fire

  • @andygaras it would be better with just semi naked lesbians. no need for bricks at all.

  • it would look better if you could sim some type of bond between them so they all dont just fall apart when hit.

  • GREAT

  • fake and gay

  • @6669969 lol its 3D that guy mad it :/

  • Bricks were shat

  • coolio, but i can't see a string causing any damage..only the ball itself

...well on a larger scale that is, like a building

  • Haha it's really funny to watch =) But I isn't flying bricks? o.O cause they don't seem to touch each other ^^

  • why is this so satisfying?

  • fake

  • the constructions workers who made a brick wall without mortar must be trolls...

    trolling and stuff...

  • How come virtual bricks never have mortar?

  • it looks pretty good, the only bad thing about it is that the bricks are just stacked up and not put together with any cement

I know it's hard to do this in a 3D program xP

but it just doesn't look right if every single brick falls apart^^

even the rope from the wrecking ball pushes away bricks^^

  • i bet that was 3 days of rendering

  • They fergot the cement!

  • BALLBREAKER

  • you forgot the cement.

  • to answer everyones silly questions...

    1) ITS 3Ds MAX. A 3d editing program. NOT A GAME.

IF your computer cant do it you need a faster computer. quadcore or i5 at least and 4gig ram at least. i7/10gbram would be best.

  • WHAT GAME IS IT? -_-'

  • That's one poorly built wall.

    (But one neat simulation)

  • ทำไงวะ

  • how fast is yur computor cus mine is fast but it wont create the animation and it jams

  • What is this?

  • Looks ok, you should take a look into reactors Havok settings.

World Scale, Collision Tolerance, etc. :-)

  • You mast make turtial! Please ^^

  • Why can't all games have these fucking physics?

  • Beautiful.

  • what website can i find a car crash making simulation?

  • so let me get this straight, a wrecking ball goes through a brick wall and they all fall? no i KEED this is awsome 3ds max or blender

  • coool

  • nice! :)

  • omg how long did this take? if you had a team then ok. but did u do it by ur self? if u did, im in awe

  • how about some bricks shattering, that will give it more realism.

  • the wall is getting boner at 0:20

  • 0:13 boner

  • did you work with one box and pro-cutter here or are these all unique bricks???

  • Think it would look realer if the stones had different friction

  • @paronfisk and shades

  • Really good stuff there fella!

  • That's sick. I want to see games with these physics.

  • witch version is this ?

And btw.... shut the *uck up. :)

  • the solution to this can be decreasing the tolerance of collision or putting a shell modifier after the animation is created on bricks.

  • let us all take a moment..........

    put your heads down........

let us thank this majestic bricks for letting absorb this magical simulation and for sacrificing there own lives to dedicate this heart-warming collision.

    thank you, bricks

  • @miniwyred

    LOL

  • amen

  • Great job! 5/5

  • RIP wall of bricks who gave up its live to demonstrate phisical representation

  • loooooooool

  • what programs this?

  • Read the description.

    3D Studio Max.

  • Looks pretty damn cool. For perfect reality though it needs the mortar between the bricks factored into the simulation (assuming you want a brick wall of course), but I'm not entirely sure how you'd do that. Nice work!

  • More like 10. We dont have the computer to render this in real time just yet.

  • another year or two and well have that kind of destruction in video games :)

p.s. red faction does not look that real, although the destruction is amazing it doesnt look as real as in the video above

  • try roblox build anything and make planes, cars, heli, boat, submarine any thin u want!

  • REACTOR!

  • hey, can someone tell me how to make the reflection of the floor... please., someone...??

  • People need to know what kind of reflection you are looking for.

  • the floor...

the reflection of the floor.. it look like mirror or something..

  • make a texture with a map called flat mirror for reflect/refract

  • Wow, that physics simulation fused with those rather good graphics make this look pretty real :P

  • your English sucks a little and i don't really understand what you are saying but here are the steps in getting a bitmap material. In material editor select an unused material. Under the channels tab add a new material for diffuse (click on the "none" button). Choose bitmap and then browse to your image. You now need to apply your configured material to your object in the scene. You do this by dragging the material from the editor (the ball) over your object in viewport...

  • That's kind of racist I'll have you know.

  • how do you get materials with colors after rendering? When i render, all bitmap materials are gray. Tell me how to make them colored, please?

  • you are probably doing something wrong. Are you sure you are rendering and not just making a preview?

  • i know what is preview. But i dont know how to get colored materials in material editor. When i render scene, all materials, from material editor, only bitmaps are gray. Materials from material library are colored.

  • in the materials screen there is a little icon right below the material squares, the icon is a little white and blue cube, press that and it should show the bitmap on the perspective screen.

  • thanks i will try it!

  • The best games i have played for physics are, red faction gurrila and crysis. you should check them out

  • Red Faction is not out yet...

  • no i ment the demo of multiplayer and single player. i have crysis

  • Red faction 1 has been out 4 a long time and that has a good 'phisics'

  • Well Red faction 1 doesn't even have physic everything falls straight to the ground but you can destroy everything tho..

  • ur right most of it falls to the floor but u CAN destroy everything if u cant tell me something u cant...

  • the walls, I remember playing red faction 1 and the walls (at least when you are in the mine place) are indestructable... same in red faction 2, "everything is destructable" except for the floor, mountains, etc... you can't blow holes into the mountain........... =)

  • hmm did u go looking through the entire map just to prove me wrong?

    :)

  • you got number 3? destroy everything (appart from floor and landscapes( but every building bring it down!

  • Crysis owns :D

  • yes im doing map editing right now.

  • Man - if only video games could be this detailed! Imagine - shooting at scenery and being able to blow it apart!!!

  • um ever heard of crisis or ut3

  • I have UT3, it broke after I tried to install it again. But I never noticed any ability to break the scenery - I should try to fix it and see that.

  • define broke like did the files get corrupt or did it physically break (ahh and if you really want to run some good physics in ut3 i recommend getting a card with phys X on it there made by nvidia)

  • Red Faction : Guerrila. It should be out this summer, for Xbox 360, PS3 , PC.

  • this is reactor right?

  • well, the "stones" are floating after the hit... they dont sit on each other... there is space between them..

    can it be fixed?

  • Probably, but it might not be practical.

  • ? where does it say this was done in blender?

    this is 3d studio max.

  • Comment removed

  • Well, when those are free and available for 64-bit Linux, we'll do a comparision.

  • This could have been done in realtime...

  • wow i'm craking up here what's the program for this???

  • the program is 3dsmax ( 3d Studio max )

  • Wich version ?

  • its Destruction Simulation - Crash impact 3D Studio crash simulation experiment.

  • haw did do tate

  • Hey man, great video. Can you please tell me how you got the bricks to move differently? When I use reactor and make a ball go through it, all of the bricks move even though they weren't hit by the ball, and some of them even go through the box :P. Nice vid

  • In what program? Like Blender?

  • that is sick!

  • this looks really good

  • soi soi soi soi soi soi

  • how did you do the reflection on the floor? thanks

  • Change the material to Raytrace, then go to maps and add reflection with FlatMirror material.

  • jmmm thanks! I'll try it

  • AWESOME only should have made the ball swing up after breaking though the wall and the rope (or whatever it is) NOT smash through the wall. Other than that, one of the coolest looking reactors ive seen on the toooobe so far :) nice work

  • but thats what happens...

  • REALLY? shit niggaz

  • shit looks great

  • You didn't use any mortar...

  • make some dust and let the stones crumble when hitting something if possible

  • nice, much better than the grenade one, good job

  • I figured as much, but how did you set it up with reactor?

  • Hard to explain shortly, but the procedure is quite straight forward. The ball is attached to a rope with a point2point constrain.

  • You think you could show it from more angles?

Anyway, what did you use to make it?

  • I used 3D Studio Max 9

  • excelente!

  • I think it looks very cool

  • he he
