@XPetiteBrunetteX I actually read somewhere that cats prefer drinking running water. I don't know where it was or how accurate it was, but it said that they like drinking from fountains or faucets or something.

@SnowWhiteQueen29 It's true for a lot of cats. In fact some companies have started making kitty drinking fountains now. It's really the same reason we prefer cold water - it colds more oxygen which our brain reads as less likely to be stagnant and therefore bad.

Supposedly that's the official evolutionary reason, anyway.
