Even with the helmet on and Schneider out Stallone's version is still too clean and shiny - too big budget. Should be more like original Mad Max. The new 2012 version HAS to be an improvement no matter how bad it may turn out to be.
i think who ever made judge dredd movie probably never any of the comics, its a though they thought - there's no good stories, just some superhero that the kids like, we'll make some popcorn hero arc that'll last 1.5 hours, and keep Sly stallone busy for a few months, if they had read it they'd have realised that most of the big stories in judge dredd were much better written than 90% of Hollywood's output
The stallone film was a real shame.. Stallone wasnt actually that bad(While the helmet was on),& Mega city one,was done pretty well,but taking the helmet off,& lets face it,the story itself,was a BiiiiG mistake! Would've been so much cooler with those two things done differently.Ideally in the new movie i would've liked the uniforms from this movie with the name badges from the new one,with proper meaty Lawmasters.Plus Clint Eastwood sent from 10-15 years ago in a time machine,to play Dredd.
