Why did it undershoot the platform? What's the difference between this and the regular M7?

M7 is the Long Island Rail Road version of the train for one thing, and the difference is in the current collection and door closing lights. M7 has a button light that blinks as where the M7A has strobes. The LIRR collects current with shoes that run on top of the 3rd rail, Metro North from underneath.
