Why do people who dislike Bill Cinton like Barack Obama? Obama is running on the same themes--hope, restoration of the Democratic party, military strength (92,000 new troops), working with big business on plans, change from a Bush administration.

Barack Obama is a Protestant Christian member of the United Church of Christ. The same religious denomination as many of our founding fathers.

It's a shame that Obama's concept of "justice and equality" doesn't extend to starving and impoverished Africans, dying from a lack of food, water, medical treatment, infrastructure, ethnic cleansing and war.

Look into Obama's work during his college career involving the injustice and inequality in South Africa. There was an article discussing this exact topic in Saturdays New York times, February 9th, 2008.

And I would like to offer up the notion that those citizens in our own nation who are starving and impoverished should be at the forefront of our efforts.

The New York Times endorsed Obama, big shocker that they support him. The fact is that he's nowhere near as strong on poverty at home or abroad as John Edwards was. He doesn't give speeches about that, he gives speeches about hope and then dodges making any commitments.
