I found a bug. If you attempt to scroll through the languages to change the i-pod language, it crashes and reboots. Also, how would I make the icons on the main screen bigger and change fonts of things? I just found this program today so I'm new to this.

thanks! but i have a HUGE GLITCH with this! I have the right firmware - 5.5, but when I'm listening to music or watching a movie, and I press the menu button, it takes me to the main menu, but it is all screwed up with what i would call "Televeision snow," or that's what it looks like. I have to reset my ipod to get rid of it!

dont reset your ipod, the problem is you must have the following things on your menu, and ONLY THESE:

Music

Photos

Videos

Extras

Settings

*and now playing is automatic

if you dont have the correct main menu, you will get the "television snow"

Open up iPW, load your iPod firmware, then go to the pictures tab and click "load all". browse to your folder and hit ok.

If iPW crashes, go to the preferences tab and uncheck "old index saving system".

use iTunes just choose "restore" and.. BAM you have your iPod back ;)

No, I got everything fixed. I had to take "shuffle songs" off the menu, even after you restore it, it's put there by default.

I have this firmware running fine with music menu icons and one title bar. I also use both of the fixes listed on the forum below the post.

Unfortunately, I encounter two frustrating problems. 1) the progress bar is 1 px above where it should be and 2) there are white bars on the sides of the music menu icons.

The progress bars should be aligned properly. Unless you changed them or the background, they should be fine.

The white bars will be fixed in the next update.

obviously you didn't read the readme. i'm using the one titlebar extra. the default is two (one black and one normal, like the itouch). our next update will have the one titlebar as the default, as that seems more popular.

the menu icons in this build aren't designed to be there for all menus. we'll provide you with that option in the next update too.

im new to all this.

but i dl the 14 games on my i pod and im using the itunes version 7 and when i sync my ipod to itunes it deletes my games.

i figured that if i put an older version of itunes in my computer it wont do this, or will it? i dont know how to keep adding sons in itunes, but still keep my new modded i pod.

disable games syncing in itunes and it will keep your hacked games.

you add songs like you normally would. this firmware doesn't change any of that.

technically, it will. however, it is perfectly possible to remove this hack by rewriting the default apple firmware. that will put your ipod back to the way it was originally, and no one, even apple, will be able to tell that you modded it.

That was the disk browser hack. InvaderZim discovered that and posted it a long time ago. It's part of the iPod's diagnostic mode I believe. We added it to the extras menu.

By the way, the menus are now all black with white text.
