@JIMBOSKI58 yea it is something that i never knew about. i thought spainards were or mixed moorish blood. i have a spanish tutor right now in school that speaks Gaelic ( iguess its called and he looks kinda irish). they even celebrate with bag pipes...that'swhat i really want to know...how did that happen?
@MsSMSgirl Spaniards do have a strong mix of Jewish-Arab blood. It may be exagerrated because of their strong influence on the Iberian Peninsula. The Moors and Jews were at a zenith during the 7th-14th centuries, however, the "typical" Spaniard away from the cities walking down the narrow streets or sitting on park benches remind one of small town Europeans.
@golly2k Pat did a great job here ! Only thing missing is the DNA reports published in the BBC online about Irish Y chromosome being Basque Y chromosome. Just a few details missing which would top off this talk nicely. No he's no spoofer. Ha ha, but Pat is right on.
@AmericanPlatinum Who is this guy though? Ive never heard of him. Judging on some of the clips on here,he IS a spoofer, the Spanish arch thing for example? When asked how old it is.."We have no idea..we can guess it is very early from the architechture..pre-roman"...IT WAS BUILT IN THE 16TH CENTURY!!..
southern spain arab?!!! maybe culturally influenced, not ethnically tho flamenco might be miscconstrued for arab music but its hell its not even spanish the gypsies made that genre there is more to spain than that
I agree. Despite the 700 year ruling of Spain, the Moors didn't change the bloodline at all. Some of Europes most "White" people as far as genetics go, are Spanish.
@billiecorpse91 true, this so called "arab" this and that is not true at all, there is no real connection to Arabs in Flamenco (Jewish a bit, even Celtic influences) the Arabs cant' even dance, use arms, show flesh ....etc.........so I highly doubt Arab women were dancing "flamenco" dont buy it....it is distinctly Spanish and besides the Greeks say that the Spanish were already highly civilized in the arts hundreds of years before the muslims used the sword to slaughter the Spaniards.
@CELIBERICO slaughtered, no that actually backfired they got slaughtred for trying to strip of your land, spain obviously didn't them to enrich them culturally
@CELIBERICO I AM ALL THESE, and Basque (Garces) and from Spanish Royal family ie Aragon and Castile/Leon. In SPAIN no one would speak of Arabs or Moors this way. This is distinctly racially a reflection of recent Protestant attitudes driven by Israeli lobby in US, and war on terrorism. I'm in California myself. This is a great talk !
He said the Arabs invented it not the Irish. The oldest know arch in the world is in Israel. It is a known fact that Arches had been in use in Mesopotamia way before the etruscans!
NO. SPANISH PEOPLE IS 100% WHITe

Forget the high profile Spaniards in the movies, music, etc. Go the the small villages in the hinderlands of Spain, and you see the faces of Ireland.
