  • Wow! He's great!

  • GRANDE BLAZE!!!!

  • I has to admit that Blaze has great voice for me. He can easily sing those deep and dark songs. However... I wish in future songs the main focus would be laid on his voice not on guitar riffs .... His voice is drown in music.

  • fuck you! this aint about bruce! its about blaze !

  • I like Blaze. There is no point in comparing him to Bruce Dickinson because, as it was stated several times already, they've got different vocal styles, and each is very good in their own way.

As for this song... I just loved it! Gonna look for more of his solo works. Just pure awesomeness.

  • GOOD!

  • Excellent !!!

  • I suppose one of the good things about having a limited range like Blaze does is that, when you get older, you don't have to worry about losing range. He sounds just as good here as on Silicon Messiah.

  • This band was arguably one of the best Metal bands ever, if not the best. And they've broken up 4 weeks ago because they didn't make enough money and didn't have a proper and dedicated manager to help them to gain the succes that they would have diserved. Not enough people coming to their concerts, and so not enough money. That's the sad truth...so unfair...People prefer spend 60€ and go and see Maiden, Metallica etc...Do this bands make better music than Blaze and his mates? I'm not sure...

  • @nozzie66 Stop defecating through your mouth...

  • @Oliveirex1

Sorry, I don't understand the meaning of this comment...What do U mean by "defecating through your mouth" ? Could U just explain me ? Maybe you have something much more unteresting and much longer to tell me, as a reply to my message...I'm sure U can do more than a poor sentence with 5 words, and I'm also sure that U can use proper words. There are people who say that people coming from the eastern countries are retarded..I can't believe it's true..Read U soon I hope.

  • @nozzie66 I strongly recommend you to pay a visit to a mathematician, maybe this professional can help you to count (the basics of mathematic) "defecating through your mouth" = 4 words... Educate yourself before try to play the clever one, eastern scum!

  • @nozzie66 here's the meaning of "scum"...

    scum |skəm|

    noun

a layer of dirt or froth on the surface of a liquid : green scum found on stagnant pools.

    • informal a worthless or contemptible person or group of people : you drug dealers are the scum of the earth.

    verb ( scummed , scumming ) [ intrans. ]

(of a liquid) become covered with a layer of dirt or froth : the lagoon scummed over.

    • [ trans. ] form a layer of dirt or froth on (a liquid) : litter scummed the surface of the harbor.

  • @Oliveirex1 Dude, quick reminder. You said "Stop defecating through your mouth... "

    Therefore, 5 words:

    1) Stop 2)defecating 3)through 4)your 5)mouth...

And by the way, your grammar isnt exactly top notch anyhow.

And, while I'm at it, your arguements are crap. I hope you get better at trolling soon.

  • @greencheapsk8 Dumb idiot, lame assfuck, READ EVERYTHING before give your pointless opnion!!!!!! the ASSHOLE YOU TRY TO defend here wrote "DEFECATING THROUGH YOUR MOUTH" ( which contains 4 words you LAME ASSFUCK)...SHUT UP YOU CUNTASSCRACK!!!!

  • @Oliveirex1 Sigh, you still can't count.

nozzie66 asked you what the meaning of "defecating through you mouth" was. He then critisized the length of your comment by saying : "...I'm sure U can do more than a poor sentence with 5 words" refering to your comment as a whole, which has 5 words.

Also you insult him for being an Easterner, which he implied you were to start with.

And i think you could be more effective if you didn't make up pointless swear-words by joining two other swear-words

  • @greencheapsk8 penisheadedcreatureass you make me sleepy! ZZZZZZZzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzzZZZZZZZ ...Very tired...ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZz

  • those drums remind me of panic attack

  • @ejl1000 The whole start really just sounds like panic attack, bass intro etc. Ah well. Still awesome.

  • Man i really feel bad for Blaze Bayley and Tim Ripper Owens !!!! they're both great singers who were in the wrong bands at the wrong time !!!! so they're always compared with the gods they replaced temporally !!! actually that happened for Owens twice!!!

  • Man, I feel sorry for Blaze. He'll be forever compared with Bruce and people saying that Bruce is better than him

  • @jugulatorable That's because Bruce is a better singer. Anyway, Blaze is still great. But not such a great singer but a great musician

  • @jugulatorable IMO he is better than Bruce.

  • @luc00leh Amen, I don't dislike Bruce as a singer or anything but sometimes his vocals can be a bit too cartoonish for my liking.

  • Blaze Bayley live in Brazil 2011: watch?v=cTvG_a20zQM

  • Blaze is awesome. Even though he was not a great fit with Maiden I still loved the 2 concerts I was at the times they came to Copenhagen. What I remember from those concerts most is that he had an excellent rapport with the crowd.

And his solo stuff kicks ass :)

  • i was talking to a guy once in the old jb's (dudley)(about 1995ish) while waiting to be served.one of the lads told me it was blaze.....i think the bands playing that night were 'clandestine' and 'skyclad'.

  • Blaze Kick Ass!

    26th January - Curitiba, Brazil

    I'll be there for sure

  • @angelobiiiu e ai? coincidencia eu estive exatamente nesse show em curitiba!!!!! BLAZE RULES!!!!!!

    Hail BLAZE!

  • WILLING TO DIE!!!! DIE!!! WILLING TO DIE!!!! SAAAAMUUURAAAAI!

    >W<

  • Blaze's solo stuff kicks ass. I was lucky to meet him and talk to him after a show. He's a great personality, and he deserves to be respected. all fags who are bashing him because of the maiden days should burn in hell, because blaze has the biggest balls anyway.

  • Imagine Worf from TNG in his famous scenes during this song :)

  • Great Music, great singer.!!!

    Blaze Rocks!

  • that's vocal? up in the Bruce Dinckinsom

  • Blaze Bayley.. you're fucking awesome! <3

  • I likes Blaze best in Wolfsbane. But he's decent in all the bands he was in.

  • One of the best albums in this century. Great band, Blaze rules.

  • hum.....if steve were smart enough to play on these tune....i like blaze's voice....

  • WTF PANIC ATTACK?

  • @ashflower yeah kinda, but this song is much better than the gay dream theater bullshit.

  • @BanjoSick yeah man dream theatre r fag0ts lol

  • I will never understand why he has played in Peine.

    Please watch out my Channel

  • He sings too much through his nose.I more prefer vocals coming from the chest, for example, Dickinson, Halford, Dio, Kiske ...!

  • that guy on the cover looks like bruce hahaha whout be funny if it was him :D hahaha nothing against bruce!!

  • best maiden song of the year! ;PPP

  • Gotta admit, Blaze has a little Graham Bonnett timbre in his voice... Just a little bit. He just need to work on his voice control and sustain...There were times he is off-key.... The Tenth Dimension is his best album, in my opinion.

  • Blaze rules, Thanks man for putting those great songs. Blaze has amazing unique voice you hardly find in any heavy metallers. Blaze Rules always. Hell Yeah

  • Comment removed

  • i agree with most people saying he is a good singer ,but he never was a great voice in iron maiden, this music is a perfect fit for blaze bayley

  • blaze is awesome, the only problem with his maiden years was that he wasn't bruce dickenson...but who is?

  • Not a fan of his studd with Maiden AT ALL........BUT ......THIS SHIT IS SOLID GOLD!!!!!!!!................(btw i do like the tune "man on the edge" that was done with blaze and maiden"

  • Not a fan of his Maiden material, but man this stuff kicks ass, I'd go see this stuff live it rox! \M/

  • Very nice Blaze

  • realy nice bass play

  • Wow Blaze is great! I thought he was crap with Maiden, but i guess thats just because he was living in Bruce's shadow. Loving this music though :) UP THE IRONS!

  • Does anyone have bass tabbs for this song because i am trying to do a cover for this song?

  • Blaze Bayley IS 'The Man Who Wouldn't Die'.

He is legend, he got screwed by life and he got up on his feet again, standing tall and proud. He is my inspiration and, by the way, his last two albums are great metal masterpieces. Only time will tell who are the good musicians and who are not. Listen and believe. His spirit lives in his music and it will help you to get through your own life better.

    UP THE BLAZE

  • @youthBasher You're completely right ! Blaze and his band are legend, and his last two albums are just fantastic ! The Man who wouldn't die is my favorite metal album, it contains 12 classics of Metal, 12 masterpiece, and as Blaze says about this album: "we had the sneaking suspicion that we were doing something that we could be proud of". Sure you did Blaze ! Long live to this fantastic band, cant' wait to see them live again with many more studio albums to come !

  • Blaze Bayley IS 'The Man Who Wouldn't Die'.

    UP THE BLAZE

  • I didn't like Blaze on Maiden, but he's sound is awesome in his own material and this album is great.

  • this song kick ass! hell yeah! nice song!

  • Awesome!

  • Bruce and blace, each have totally different vocal styles... and they both are good in what they do...

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • It would've have been great if Blaze opened up for Maiden then have Blaze sing his songs with Maiden too along with Bruce. Surprised they didn't think of this ? I love both Bruce and Blaze.

    They both kick ass.

  • Maybe Bruce wouldn't want that?

  • Bruce and Blaze are buds.

  • Are all the people so stupid to talk about Bruce on each videos ? You idiots.... " Looool but Bruce is better xDDDD Looool ^^" You guys suck

  • Blayze`s voise is`nt idelly for Iron Maiden but albums with him I really like... Bruce`s voice is but better for Iron Maiden. This is the true for Blaze and is AMAZING!!

  • @Brucey6666 hahahaha :D thumbs up!

  • @Brucey6666 how rude

  • @Brucey666 Blaze cock is already huge in your ass

  • @trinconi

I think there's an empty space in your head, where there should be a brain...

  • I enjoy this type of power metal.

  • NIco & David.....tienen que volver a Colombia con Blaze. Estan sonando del Putas. Felicitaciones...!!!

  • wtf??? why didnt he sing like this while he was with maiden-- he would have stayed if he did. i thought blaze was shitty b4 i listend to this.....

  • @castmanix just my opinion, you understand, but on it seems that because this is HIS band he can be more in control of everything, including style, pitch, arrangements, etc,so he can get into a more natural, suitable groove and be more comfortable. i was totally in support of him when he came to maiden, and think he left a great legacy,e.g. clansman,2 AM,look for the truth, sign of the x,man on the edge. and of course he helped them continue on as a band until the miracle return of adrian and bruce.

  • I love Bruce Dickinson, but I must admit, this is a pretty excellent track. Of course, I kind of like the Blaze Maiden albums, too, even though I was glad that Bruce came back to Maiden. I think it's useless arguing about who's best. Each of the singers has been good for Iron Maiden at their particular time. (I don't think Di'Anno is very good any more, though...)

  • I think everyone knows who is the best Iron Maiden singer. Blaze is good, but Bruce is so much better:

  • @MrSlapptask Bruce ang Blaze have got a different vocal style and both are good in their vocals...

But Bruce is better (in my opinion)...

  • The x factor was actually full of good stuff...too many OOOOOOHHHOOOOOHHHS in there but otherwise the atmosphere Bayley created with Harris and his dark arpegios was pretty good. Problem is there was a feel that they were trying to imitate Bruce Dickinson and fans couldnt accept Blaze easily after Bruce. .Then I got the impression that Maiden produced albums for tha sake of it after that.

  • AMOLAD was dull IMO. Don't get the whole 'progressive' talk. it's just old riffs and melodies rearranged and slapped together. it's just inspired and lazy to my ears and reeks of pure tedium. 'Brave New World' at least had decent and memorable hooks and choruses but killed the effect with the running time. the songs were too long for what they were.

i have no problem with Maiden writing longer songs. I enjoy all the old epics from the 80's and even 'Sign Of The Cross'.

  • samurai!!

  • Pretty good!!!!!!

    Blaze really developed after Maiden.

In Maiden I think he was hold back by Harris for the most time and couldn't really do much stuff on the records.

  • And I thought he sounded good with Iron Maiden! This is certainly the best song I've heard so far on this album.

  • same intro of the song panic attack of dream theater !!!

  • Not the same. Similar bass techinque. But nothing to do with Panic Attack

  • i am talking about the intro only,if not the same technique but it's the same idea now i am not going to say that they stole it from them but it happens that when u write a song it could be similar to other songs

  • he is greece these days he shake the world here

  • Guitar mix sounds a little thin... Nevertheless, good song. I still prefer the Tenth Dimension though.

  • thin? what are you serious?

  • Yes. Very. Compare this album to the Tenth Dimension, you can hear the difference. The distortion is over saturated and you can hardly hear the mids and lows.

  • Always been a fan of balze since i heard The Clansmen and Doctor doctor

  • yeh 2 awesome songs, but he kinda just got to sing those songs, not more than that,it could've been anybody...

  • the clansman is an orgasmic song

  • u forget edge of darkness :p

  • Blaze

    Yeah!

  • what exactly is strong vocals if this is weak?

no power, no accuracy and no emotion?

theres something wrong with you if you don't think these are strong vocals,.

  • @EV150 Do you even know who the fuck Blaze Bayley is?

  • Comment removed

  • The beginning of the song is very similar to "Panic Attack" of Dream Theater. Does everybody think the same?

  • I was just thinking that before i looked at your comment. Yeah its weird.

  • extremely close

  • True the bassriff is very very similar, but overall I like this song much better. Both are good though.

  • read my comment above and u will see how i totally agree with u ,,there is Kriaturametal who doesn't agree by commenting on my opinion

  • Great song and album!!! Also listen to the Tenth Dimension album...also a great heavy album!!!

  • almost every song in the album deserves to be a single.

  • Blaze is back in the house bitches! This long-awaited album is pure gold. So full of power.

  • holy fuck!!

never heard a bayley-solo song - and I'm starting to regret it!

  • im starting to regret never having heard a blaze song earlier -thats what i meant :-D

  • go buy "silicon Messiah" (if u haven't done so already....) cheers from greece...

  • i will!

  • blaze is very good but not for maiden but as solo he rulez

  • Unlike kryshen2, I've always had a good opinion about Blaze, and especially when he was part of Maiden. They recorded two good albums, and he was the right person at the right time..And eventually, ten years after, he releases his fourth solo album, the fantastic "The man who wouldn't die', which is one of the best metal albums of all the times, and Blaze a great singer. He rules the metal !!

  • I never really had a high opnion of Blaze, mostly because his work with Maiden... well, it disgusted me. But this impresses me a lot more. He has a good voice, and the guitar is pretty great to boot. Very crunchy.

  • See Blaze is a great vocalist, htis proves it... but Maiden was not for him

  • Blaze is not for maiden, i like he singing lord of the flies, but, the rest are not so good for him... This song is cool. im gonna hear some others blaze's songs.

  • Dudes stop talking about his Maiden days! it's gone, now he has a brilliant solo carrer

  • Another reason Blaze didn't really fit with Maiden is because he is a Baritone where both Paul Di'Anno and Bruce Dickinson are Tenors. I don't see why Steve Harris didn't get another Tenor to replace Bruce and instead of a Baritone.

  • Blaze solo material is simply amazing!!! I liked his maiden stuff because he brought a new dimension to maiden at the time and it was different- although not everyone liked it. But hey, can't please everyone!!!

As for Blaze, the silicon messiah album is all gold as the tenth dimension and the man who would not die is so good!!! he is a brilliant singer/writer!! I just hope he keeps going because Debbie would be proud!! :-D

  • the main reason that blaze's voice wasnt quite the right fit for maiden is simply because they refuse to tune down, they, along with king diamond and mercyful fate, are just a small few bands that stay in standard tuning since their beginning days to now, which you can respect but i sometimes wonder what it would sound like if it was tuned lower. dio does it, ozzy does, halford has...even bruce did on some of his solo stuff...now imagine the king singing his stuff a whole step lower lol

  • Yeah, Three Inches of Blood plays in standard too, I like it so much more than drop d, and drop c, and every other damn drop key. it just sounds more powerful, to me, anyways

  • well, this stuff is in standard too and it sounds pretty awesome

  • kinda iced earth sound first time i heard his band other then maiden

  • I told you all, his solo songs are GREAT, his voice is way better than the maiden days

  • i like maiden and blaze, i think the problem is that blaze didnt suit the music from maiden :)

    they both own

  • why maiden didnt go this way when they were with blaze?

  • Because Steve Harris writes most to all of Maiden's stuff and he wanted to stay within the formula. If they let Blaze write songs for X Factor and Virtual XI or if Harris arranged and wrote songs that fit Blaze's voice they would have had classic albums, but instead he wrote standard Maiden songs that would be better suited if Bruce sang them and if Adrian helped write them.

  • better than any music from Iron after Brave New World...

Virus and Sing of The cross is the best Iron's songs, its not because of Vocals, the music is good with Blaze and Bruce...

  • And Futureal :)

I hope Maiden will do Virus with Bruce some day.

  • I hate to say it but you are right.... you're the first person to say that... it's true... unfortunately. I don't know all the words to a single maiden song after Brave New World (fantastic album btw). They're too slow and quiet, all are slow start and are 6:30+ in length- TOO LONG!!! Rime kicked ass, for quality and length, but these newer songs are borefests....

    UP THE BLAZE!!!!

  • @GrandeInquisitor Are you deaf or what? A Matter of Life and Death is probably the heaviest Maiden album ever. And I really like the long songs. They are true epics, full of melody, rhythm changes, awesome instrumental parts and everything. Borefests are the Verse-Chorus-Verse-Chorus-Solo-Chorus type of songs, always the same thing. Few bands can make many interesting songs of this kind, Blaze being one of them. But seriously, new Maiden rules too, if you like X-Factor you can't dislike AMOLAD.

  • It's all a matter of opinion there friend, no need to start the mud slinging. Benjamin Breeg and These Colors Don't Run are good songs, I'm not saying it's not good music. But it's not great for Iron Maiden standards. Don't get me wrong, they are my favorite band without doubt, I know the lyrics to nearly 90% of all their stuff up to No Prayer For The Dying, and that's only because I don't want to blow through NPFTD and FotD. All I meant was Blaze is putting out better music since BNW- IMO.

  • @GrandeInquisitor Imo the new albums (especially AMOLAD) are at least as good as the old ones but they are not that catchy and take some time to grow on you. The problem is most people judge from the first couple of listenings. Blaze puts out great music as well, but I don't like to compare bands like sports teams and say one is better than the other. Anyway, what's your opinion about Blaze's albums with Maiden?

  • I thought they were fantastic, liked The X Factor a little more though, loved the themes. Also, that's just it, they aren't catchy, I like intricate music but Maiden really isn't the same anymore, I think the biggest problem is slower tempo overall, and a variety of song lengths and style. I also like the first 2 Maiden albums, they were fantastic, but you can't really look at the 3 major eras as being the same band to really enjoy it. Since BNW I just haven't heard anything that speaks to me.

  • Blaze Bayley is a well good singer it just didnt work with iron maiden as well as bruce does still love blaze and maiden

  • Blaze kicks bruce dickinson and Iron Maiden's asses. He's better than them. FACT

  • not really, but he's a good singer.

  • This is Blaze Bayley !!! not Maiden!!

    Long LIve Blaze!!

  • nice song

  • As already said, Blaze is a great singer but the old maiden work didn't suit his voice. The work maiden did with Blaze he performs with excellent skill. Some of maidens best work is from his area in the band. Sign of the cross, The Clansman and a whole lot of other songs is just so great...

  • You know, if they just played their old songs tuned one step down, it would probably have been a hell of a lot easier for Bailey, and given their technical level, it wouldn't have been too hard to transcript... oh well, it was still cool.

Great song here, Bayley is great.

  • Bingo. Blaze just wasn't right for Maiden, but he's a very capable singer.

  • intro is like intro in clairvoyant (iron maiden) ;d

  • i strongly disagree,

blazes solo albums are generally more consistant than the majority of maidens work,

for instances the man who would not die completely smokes the majority of there overated "golden years" material and no prayer for the dying to fear of the dark,

  • Here is where we hear what Blaze can do. I dont know why Maiden chose him for a frontman, Bruce is classed as a tenor, whereas Blaze is a baritone, so how he could have been expected to sing a maiden song in the first place i dont know. Theres a vid on here where he sings the trooper, but tunes the guitars down, you should hear how well he sings it when the guitars are down on his level. Great.

  • oh yeah i forgot he was really maiden's frontman! he was their frontman in the nineties wasn't he? for the first was paul di'anno and the second was bruce dickinson, weren't they?

  • yea but he only did 2 albums and one single with maiden the sign of the cross was 95 then virtual11 was 98 and virus in 99 i think . then they got rid of him and bruce came back ..by the way both his albums are fucking amazing go chek them out..

  • nah what the fuck am i saying . sorry its the x factor not the sign off the cross . the sign off the cross is proberly the best iron maiden song tho .. ever
