Though Im not straight edge I still have respect for people and i think its interesting to see how from what rebelling ment in the 60, which was to do drugs is now almost the opposite now in some youth subcultures.

I'm not an edger anymore because I now smoke, but that's all I do. When I was true edge I wasn't violent, but I still back all of my edge friends no matter what. As I said to to paintballer, I wasn't talking of all sXe people, but a lot of them are violent, which to me, is just not right. Be proud of yourself and the fact that you don't need a substance to live your life and have fun!

Drugs don't kill people. People kill themselves with drugs. Drug users hang out with drug users, and don't go around soliciting. Only ones that push are the shady drug dealers in the alleys. Drugs are just too damn expensive to just be handing out free joints.

I mean, for some people, straight edge isn't a counter culture anymore. It's a militant regime. Beating up a drug dealer because he sells illegal substances is vigilantism, nothing more. Well then you should petition for stronger enforcement of the law by police. The problem is, most people don't want stricter enforcement on drug laws.
SO, I'm sorry but if you're going to live under the laws of this country and the system by which those laws are made... you're kind of stuck.
But there are always things you can do in your own community. Tell the cops what you know. If they don't do anything, take to court. That's the way it works here.

i am not straight edge. I am not a druggy either. In this video it says that people look down on kids that are straight edge. That is not the case. What gets us is that straight edge kids think everybody who is not straight edge are all the same. That we all give into alcohol and drugs as some type of way to conform. Every straight edge kid ive encountered gives off this front like they are better than everyone else...thats why i dont like straight edge kids

I respect Straight Edge people, and I even like sxe-music, but i get really pissed off from commercials like these. These sxe-commercials are like Reefer Maddness (cannabis), saying that all of the people who use ANY drugs are junkies, plus these commercials give the expression that all of the drugs are as bad and will throw your life away.
