@TRUEZFAN Your probably right. Akainu is probably in his 40's or 50's and trained with his lava fruit alot. Ace on the other hand, as Akainu said before he killed him, was so overconfident just cause he was a Logia-type he dident even bother training like Luffy, Crocodile, ect.

Ace being young, and angry, and reckless was the main reason he loss to Black Beard, I honestly think though that if it were any other Logia user, Marshal D. I remember when I first read this part in the manga. I honestly thought that both of them would manage to escape. I don't know if Ace will be revived like some people say or if he'll stay dead, but in my opinion this is one of the points where Oda made a mistake. Ace had a lot of untapped potential and there were plenty of stories that couldve been told about him. I really think that Oda just wasted his character killing him off like that. And the magma burning fire part didn't even make sense.

@Orochi2345678 It's said that the 'my magma burns your fire' is a mistranslation...the correct translation for akainu's speech would be:"my magma burns TRHOUGH your fire".And if you read it this way,it's completely logic,since magma can smother fire,ceasing it's ignition, meaning that the flame's temperature would be irrelevant in this case.

Oda himself said on an interview that marco's flames aren't hot and that they have different properties from ace's that he'll explain later in manga.
