I watched this fight and its actually one of my faveorite of this year. Even if it was luck. Which i dont think it was cuz you have to take in account that Shimoda had threw a lot of punches in earlier rounds and were startin to fatigue. Ricos just took advantage of that.

hey that wasn't luck if u watch closely rico landed a clean left hand and seconds later rico was planted....rico threw a good quick combination following with a strong left hook......ricos eyes weren't closed when he threw the left.....rico didn't throw the left hook with his head down in a scary retreating position....he threw it with confidence and landed it well!

@Mjolbaggar I never said he won a round. I said Ramos was catching him with that hook all night because Shimoda was wild and open, but Ramos was being outworked. Also I'm sure Ramos had a game plan, but he didn't execute it as well as he would have liked. He even admitted that he was nervous. Since it was his first championship fight I'm sure he'll fight better next time.

Shimoda didn't pace himself well in the first six rounds, and Rico hit the openings fatigue caused. This was a shocking end last night, but with a bit of distance, it seems like good strategy. Not that Ramos had a strategy or anything.
