when i was little my mom showed this movie to me and this was allways my favoret part. and i said to my mom i want to play the harp just like stan ... now my sister is a profesional harpest and all i can do is play my air gutar. go figure.

I've yet to see much of the L&H catalog of films, but this is one I watch time and again... And it may just be because I love this scene so much! Tremendously funny and rhythmic, two great bedfellows! =D

That is definitely Harpo Marx playing that song. Nobody has a harp style like his. Its either a record or Harpo decided to visit the set that day. No doubt about it.

Yes! The song is "The World is Waiting for the Sunrise" Thank you! I couldn't remember where I had heard it before...Les Paul and Mary Ford did a hipster version of it and I love it. But I never got the joke until reading your post. Thanx.
