@Setebos If I recall, even Star Trek Original Series had the same blunder -- some episode where they were in orbit around earth, or a pseudo-earth or something, and you could see every continent, the oceans -- not one cloud to be seen anywhere!
@bus114 --- oh, it's a classic, and an easy way to identify films and television episodes by time period. I may have to go back and research just when weather patterns started appearing on images of Earth.
I wasn't around when this show originally aired, but they replayed it every Saturday on WFTV, channel 9 in Orlando, well into the 60's.
