I have a 84 performer, 87 world tour, 83 gt pro Nora cup, 85 mach one suriver, 76 gt, 93 intercepter al og suriver, 89 Mach 1

It's a 87 or 86 cause gt bikes had 3 holes on the drop outs for only 84 and 85, in 1986 is when they put 4 holes. And that is not a performer cause I have a 84 and it has no holes that is a world tour, and the serial # on a world tour is at the bottom where the cranks go and on a performer it is on the left rear drop out.. I know more and I am only 15

I've got a gorgeous chrome 80s performer..the frame it exactly this shape, but doesn't have the four holes on the drop-out,

does this mean it's a later model?

I know that later they had a double bend on the lower main tube, rather than just the bend at the front.

I also have a similar GT called "Palomar"

it has thicker tubes esp on the lower main tube & a cross-piece behind the seat-post in the triple-tube part, rather than ending the middle tube in the performer slashed stump with the logo

I'm 41 now and bought a gt pro performer back in 1985 when I was 15..it was yellow..seeing this vid makes me miss it so much..I paid 380 bucks for it brand new and sold it 2 years later for 250 bucks..it had white rims and black tires..sick bike..I kept it in my room every nite..perfect condition when I sold it...wish I kept it now..this bike was awesome!!!!

sweet, i just got the fit hawk v2, its nice, but the drop outs are extremely skinny, im worried they're gonna break.

the hawk v2 is a nice bike, all fits come with sucky stock forks. fit reinforces there steel near the dropouts but lack it on the welds. the rear dropout will be hard to snap but you may need to replace the fork within the first year! i havn't had trouble with mine so far after 7 months but i have had trouble with my bearings splitting.

the fit hawk v2 is a frame...not a complete. i dont ride completes, my riding is abusive. i got the fit blade, been running it for a year and its running great though, best for ive ever had, its a non stock for though.

oh yeah sorry, i know someone who built a bike off of a v2, they did use a prk1 stock fork and that was were i was mistaken, its a very nice frame though.
