I think the new format is awful...I don't know what they are trying to do but it wold appear that they are deviating from the old an old saying - if it aint broke, don't fix it. get prepared for lower ratings as this new format is cringeworthy . I said to the wife the other week that baldy must think he is simon cowell (I can see comments on AOL are likening the show the X Factor) the way he was taking his time over a decision and the sad piano music was getting on my nerves. @superalihare Theres nothing wrong with it at all its about the cooking and the skills there are those who have no rights on there.and i am glad they got rid of them at the start the baldy i think your refering to greg who in fact is a great guy if you ever meet him does a fantastic job adds a bit of suspense to it its entertainment you have a fantastic device at your disposal called a remote control if you dont like it flick the switch and watch somethin else instead of bitching about it

If you watch Masterchef Australia, their show is done under the same format as the new MC UKand works really well. I think once you get into the new shows you will enjoy it as before. The show HAS changed since Lloyd Grosman started it how many years ago and I'm sure people were complaining about the format change when John and Greg took over. Give the new show a chance and you may be well suprised.

I used to like this show, now its like POP Idol gone bad, i have cringed 5 times in 10 mins , its obviously dumbed down to attract a much younger audience ie 6 years old

It's about time we got this version, I love the trailer. I love MC Australia and New Zealand.

Just a shame that Gregg 'I copy everything John says' Wallace is still presenting, there are some many British chefs who could judge.

Cannot wait. I'm a huge fan on MC Australia, their concept was better than the UK version, so this is going to be a huge improvement. I may even try myself next time :)
