I think is not bad any way. She's amazing, whoever criticize this work doesn´t really knows what saying. This is just a little part of everything you've to know, to study, to work, to dream, and to practice passionate to get to do what she's doing.
Actually they added extra songs and scenes in the musical to make the story more complete. They especially wanted to give Nala a solo because she is a leading character and if you saw the movie was also the reason why Simba came back to Priderock and became King.
She can and does. Maybe not when you saw her but keep in mind, performers are people too and they aren't going to sound AMAZING every time. Real life does set in (ex. sickness)despite the fact they are on Broadway
You need to see the show again with Kissy in it. I have seen both women in the role and Heather was WAY over-dramatic in the role. I think Kissy is way better. Heather cracked a lot
Heather Headley will always be my favorite. Kissy was ok but I didn't really like her voice that much. ok, i guess. She's buff though, i'll give her that much...

I wish I went to this. I saw Lion King in February of 2005. Kissy was the Nala then, too. It was all amazing!

I saw her two nights ago performing in The Lion King!!! I was absolutely blown away... I cried so much, it was so beautiful. Such a powerful voice.

Probably so I saw her on the David Letterman show she was excellent but her singing was way over the top. Heather was the first.
I believe Kissy has more vocal control
